Kit Kat P
More wierdo's from Ohio.....I am starting to think there is something in the water..... Isn't it hard to get a foster child? Don't they send people out to your house to check on you first.....once in a while......something? WTF???? How did they get approved for so many kids???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My parents ran a foster home w/ 6 kids coming and going and 4 of thier own. They are not educated, rich or own thier home. They had to do parenting classes and home checks for fire and health codes at least once a year. The social workers knew our home like the back of thier hand and a few of them became good friends of mine we did meet bad foster parents but my parents literally went through 100's of kids and did everything possible to make a postivie difference in each and every kid's life. bean
Man, things are just going crazy everywhere. The more news I read, the more discusted I am daily. I cannot believe this. What the hell are people thinking? Why? Those children are going to be tainted for the rest of thier lives. To a degree most of us will never understand. To a degree that not even therapists or medications can help, I'm sure. And to think that there are actually things much worse going on. Anyone Read : A child called IT? This book really opened my eyes to child abuse and how bad it can get. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I read that book. It was very sad and disturbing.
cptdeath
when i was a kid i lived next to a rotating kid foster home. they had kids of there own to. very strange people. overly aggresive children. lots of violence. of course still friends in my eyes. but i was never much of a boxer. supose your going to learn at some point or another weather you wanted to or not. yeah the parents were not physically abusive just constantly yelling and threatening. yes they talked to the neighbors about the kids like they were a source of income. from getting to know these kids i see that every situation they had been in allways turned out bad. so they were never surprised no matter what happened to then. 4 foster kids 3 of there own all older then me. every game we played as kids turned into a boxing mach. at my hous me and my friends don't hit the face as a rule. so it was messed up when tag or hide and seek became a lynching. but we were kids and i was usually eager to do it again the next day. the foster kids were weird. and older then me. and they allways started the fight with blindside punches to the face. i saw ten kids go by in the course of 3 years only one didn't punch me in the face. besides all that who would lock any one in a cage to disipline or reform them? we just bailed an old kid from the neighborhood out of westland jail today. "lol ya'll want your friend back? that el be four hundred dollers. cash or credit?" he got arrested at meijer couse he was swearing at the people for not letting my handicapped brother use a cart. child abuse is very bad especially sexual abuse. I really feel for all the girls out there who take really super hot showers till there red from hot water. I know several people who carry that weight with them. what upsets me the most is that I can sit and talk to someone for 5 minutes and see that abuse in there heart. (usually adults). it forever changes who you would've been and not in a suttle way. I never ask people about it or bring it up so i appreciate being able to talk about it a little. some of the best foster parents would fail a psych exam so would some of the best prison guards. when a child is sexually abused it is essentialy the same as removing a limb. they are to grow up sort of handycapped. the mental handycap of someone for the rest of there life should be considered in the charges the same as any disfiguring torture. there is a kid i grew up with thst shot his dad in his sleep couse his dad was straight out of diliverance. he spent 3 years in juvi and walked at the age of 18. i think he did the right thing myself. we used to ply hockey he was very good as a foward and could score at will from anywere he liked to play the crease and pass it out. i played a brutal defense and it gave our team an intimidating confidence. sorry to lose that friend. if you believe that fate is pre-ordained and that karma plays a role then are you saying a child deserves the abuse they recieve? cptdeath
oh yeah fuc ohio man a real nice girl who just moved back to michigain 3 weeks ago met me at cc last sat. she was from here and spent 5 years there. seems like good people and i would like to have someone give her a dgn card sorta bring her into the fold. a friend of a friend of a friend so i'll see her again i'm sure i lived in ohio for a while and those people hate us be cause they can't be us. they hate us because we don't notice how hard they try to compete with us. and if they can they will make your life harder couse your from michigain. wonder if the foster kids in question were originally from michigain or florda. people in florda love michigain people and make life tougher for folks from ohio on our behalf. strange, could call it anthropologie. (spend some time watching parking lots in flordia and pay attention to the liscence plates) how can you help a person who has been victomized in there youth? besides listen and enjoy what trust they give you? so i study psych as hobby (do no harm). ZhukovCodeslinger
From the article i read it only said they locked the kids up at night (implying the kids liked to cause trouble and run away). The kids all went to school and were not problematic at the school and were not involved with the police.... The couple were in their 50's and had a bunch of kids to try and take care of (many of which had "problems") IM not trying to excuse them.... I really think we need to hear/read more about this before we all pass judgement since this does not seem to be so "cut and dry" as Sybil or Trudy Chase.... Shade Everdark
Ohio must be a really sad place if they're jealous that they can't be like Michigan.

Children in cages. nothing equates to justifyably placing children in cages. Seems as clear as can get. Fuck em. Both. Prison. Or Death. this is my judgement.... EvilEve
cages are not proper sleeping places for children. it doesn't matter if they were in their 50's, and had been part of all the cherities in Ohio, and thorw benifit parties for this or that reason. (note the scarcasim, and the emphasis on if they were well known, blah blah blah...) they put those 11 kids in cages. that's uncalled for. no reason for it. cptdeath
i seen the cages on the news this morning they sure were pretty and painted with a color scheme. as far as craftsmenship goes you could see someone built then with love and attention to detail. still horrable cages but they looked as if built with the same intention as a childs crib. ever build things for your kids? like a toy box or a bed or even paint the walls in the childs room then you could see the builder had every bit of love in doing something nice for the kids he cared about. he spent alot of time on those kids building there cages and probably never complained once while doing it. :devil but the cages were the size and fashion of superpetz puppy cages. just built with love and affection. looked like mr.rogers neighborhood. i think the kids should have a say as to how harshly the parents should be treated. they might have been happy kids, you don't know. it looked bad but not as bad as it sounded.
