Halloween store open!

There is a majorly HUGE halloween store now open near Canton. Its on US 12 west of Haggerty and east of Ypsilanti. Its on the south side of the road in the same building as the Fireworks/Party supply store, but in back of it. I went in there the other day and they had a ton of stuff, including props, fetish boots, figurines, fog machines, and thousands of other items. This has to be the best place I have ever shopped at for Halloween stuff. I tend to make most of what i buy, year-round items anyway heh.

I know Gag's and gifts does a Halloween USA each year however they do have one that carries Halloween supplies year round. It's on Telegraph in Taylor. One year they has a 7 ft tall dragon that I wanted to buy but didn't have $1000. I have a fog machine, some foam skulls and have made tombstones out of styrofoam insulation sheet. I used the 2in thick blue foam, used primer to seal the brandname stencilled on it then offwhite latex paint to get the color I wanted. I used acetone in a spray bottle and dripped on it first to simulate wear. Worked out very nice. 1 warning, you must use the primer to seal the brandname stamped on it, it likes to bleed thru the latex paint.

Honestly, this place dwarfs Halloween USA. Its a family owned Halloween store. From the accent, I'd say the family is somewhere near Romania. They have much better stuff than Halloween USA. And this place also has a huge gargoyle that flaps its wings and shoots fog out of its mouth and nostrils. They also have a working life size Darth Vader in there among many other badass stuff.
