I just got one Smith & Wesson M4505 and two Sig Sauer P230.

I was thinking "Hey this is a great way to teach Tyti firearm safety" plus with the proper safety equipment I can play war with Sinn and Tyti.

Well when it comes to war gams I'm not willing to shoot anybody with something if I'm not willing to get shot by it.

Now considering the Sig Sauer's are only 0.8 lb. I'm not going to be using them and I didn't notice that the velocity was 190 fps and they came with 0.12g BB's.

so I take the 1.2 lb S & W and shoot myself point blank in the palm "OUCH!!!" :doh this verging on weapon has a velocity of 302 fps and came with 0.20g BB's.

I'm glad I did this because my first intention was to have Sinn shoot me and that would have allowed the BB to achieve maximum velocity.

Drawbacks?

We wont be shooting each other any time soon and I've found something new to collect.

I own several airsoft weapons both pistols and rifles. The further away you are, the less impact the plastic BB has. A friend's son and his buddies do airsoft wars all the time. The fps rating is measured at the barrel so over a distance, the fps drops some.

airsoft is fun. but make sure everone wears propper eyewear.

i take it these are spring powered. if so i sujest carefully opening the smith up and clipping the piston spring back.

I was going to post this any way.

I took the smith to the war gams aria down the road and had the S & W speed tested today.

Speed at end of barrel 308.1 fps.

Speed at end of puff column (about 6" from end of barrel) 314.1 fps

Speed at double of puff column 313.6 fps they think that there is a glitch in the software and it should be dropping in speed a bit faster.

Three things will stop me from doing this.

#1. All screws are sealed to prevent tampering.

#2. It is Illegal to modify this type of pistol.

#3. I like would like the gun even better if it was faster.

I have my eyes on the:

S&W 1911 Sigma 40F at 360 fps

Desert Eagle .50AE at 370 fps

DPMS Panther Arms A15 at 360 fps and this puppy has a 300 round capacity and is electric with an adjustable spin up system.
