When a man wears a dress....

Recommended Posts

It depends on what look the said person is going for. There are a lot of cross dressers that don't want to so much look like a woman as they just want to dress up like one and maybe even put a wig on. I see many men out here (SanFran) that just put a wig, dress and heels on and don't shave or try to "look" like a woman in anyother way.

Honestly, to each their own. Dress up any way you want and have fun doing it. Who cares what other people think!

That is what I am talking about. I see some scary looking stuff in my hood and club......I honestly think I could make a living giving drag queen make-overs but my house isn't zoned for it. You have to have a separate bathroom to open a salon in house here.

I would like to open a total look salon for drag. Do you want to try for a brittany spears or Mrs. Doubtfire look when you go out? I should hope it is as close to Brittany as possible.........I get wigged out when a guy tells me he is wearing his dead mothers dress....ew! You can get better stuff at the salvation army.

And for chirsts sake.......I spend 1/2 hour a day in the shower shaving and what not.....get used to it.

I have a lot of friends who do drag. However, this one friend WILL NOT shave his body hair. He looks like the bearded lady.

I do not plan on shaving my body any time soon, but then again I do not wear dresses either. One thing I do know though is that IF I were to try and shave my body it would be a work project. Remember, most guys have a hell of a lot more hair on their bodies then women do. Looking at what would be involved for me and I am thinking a couple hours and several razors, let alone the fact that it will probalby grow back faster on a guy than a girl... I can't even contemplate shaving some of the hairy area on my body... and waxing... hehe...

I really don't care. I hold much to the "To each their own" philosophy myself, but I can definately understand why some would think it way too much of a problem. And then there is the whole looking funny in regular clothes, and I imagine it would itch like hell coming back in...

I am definately glad I do not feel the need to go through all of that.

I would politely differ with the opinion that wearing a dress means that someone is trying to look like a woman.

When I put on a skirt and eyeliner, my goal is to look feminine, not to look like (or pass for) a woman - and that's an important difference. I love the stress on the elegant, the beautiful, and the delicate that some of the best goth fashion incorporates. At the same time, I have broad shoulders, and fairly muscular calves, and a nice goatee, and I like those, too. The key is to try and balance the elements. One way of doing that is certainly eliminating all of the masculine or the feminine, but that's not the only way.

I would say that a very hairy chest - anywhere from gruff Italian to upright Sasquatch - would make a dress harder to pull off, and probably deserves a bit of attention. But some men have very fine chest hair, and a bit of that could like nice in contrast. As always, use what works, hide what doesn't. ;)

I use clipperso n lestat, he has never worn a dress though.... Probally would not be to apealing in one any how, he is just to Guy looking.........

I clip all of his hair except leggs and pits he forbids those areas, but the smooth soft skin on hi tummy and further down is great for ummm ...... Yeah its just a great contrast to the hair. I happen to like both, his hair keeps me warm and makes him even more snuggly and then when he is bare skin he is so soft n smooth and things slip nicer, and um yeah.....

For other men who wear a dress, For me i do not find it attractive, but then again i dont really care eaither because i am not looking for any one. SO i say go with what ever you want to do, if you are looking for a date then you wold want one who finds you sexy just as you are and not one who wants you to change this or that.

It all up to personal prefrnece and desire.

HAve fun with your self, I get messed with al lthe tiem about my hair, but its me and those who dont want to see it can just look else where. Cause once again i aint lookin for any one adn if i was i would want them to like me for me no matter how i choose to look.

Well there are two looks - I love the goth skirt look on a guy when the rest of him looks masculine, and even a dress. I like the whole "fuck you - I'll wear whatever the hell I want" statement it makes. No need to remove any body hair in this case.

I love the drag queen feminine look too - some do it well.

I do not like the halfway thing. If a man is specifically trying to look feminine there should not be any body hair including facial and chest hair showing.

I'm gonna go w/the "depends on the look" crew. If you're going for the feminine, drag queen or sissy type look, chest hair is a really jarring contrast to the rest of the look... ends up being a real slapstick, Uncle Milty/Monty Python effect. On the other hand, if the intent isn't to look "real", it shouldn't really matter.

HH I love the drag-queen makeover salon idea... I used to have soo much fun dressing up my first hubby & some other friends back in the day. Kind'a miss that sort of thing! Maybe we should start looking for a storefront...

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
