Mzdeadlyspell
Just wondering if anyone has had laser hair removal, and did it work? I am currently getting treatments to remove hair, and am liking the results so far....
holliwood66
gaw~ I wish I could aford to get LHR...I hate shaving/waxing constantly to keep my fuzzy mediteranian type hair genes under control. Daevion
I thought about getting my whole face and neck zapped so I don't ever have to shave again.......shaving every day really sucks because it irritates my skin to no end....I'm so sick and tired of having to do it all the time. Mzdeadlyspell
I know what you mean.................so far the results were worth it enough. I decided to get my legs done..I just have very light skin and very dark hair. They do have payment plans, though, which I needed to utilize... I will let you know how it turns out. I wonder if anyone else on this board has had it done and the results?
Draco1958
My exwife had it done because she had hair on her chin. Other than a slight iritation for a day or two after, it worked fine. Let me know how it goes, I'm thinking of having my back down. No I am not a walking carpet, just don't like back hair. ShambalaMoon
The results vary. It depends where you have it done and how your hair is. I had some laser treatment done on my upper lip last year. I am happy with the results. My lips were swollen and sore for a couple of days. But it was worth it. Getting a larger area done can be a lot more painful and take longer.
Mzdeadlyspell
Okay I just have to gloat..so far this laser hair removal thing is amazing...I had it done on the legs a month ago..and even though it will take four to five treatments for the hair follicles to be dead...I do see results already......in three weeks I have had to shave twice!! For me that is a MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and now I just have hair growing back in a few places....darn I think I want it on my entire body!
holliwood66
I'm thinking January will be a good time to look into this seriously...*oh, to never shave again!!*
The Void
I looked into it last year. Still mulling it over. At $200 a treatment for one area, it's something to think about. I have a lot of areas that need treatment! *lol* Damn, being Italian sucks. Anyway, they do say the darker your hair and the paler your skin, the better it works. I guess the way it works, the laser is absorbed more into the hair follicle the darker it is and the lighter your skin is. *shrugs* I suppose that maybe after about $1000 if I either A) never had to remove hair again or B) had to have treatment redone once per year it WOULD be worth it. If not, forget it. Let us know how things are for your legs after the 4th, 5th treatment and then 6 months later. I am really interested in hearing about half a year to one year later if the hair stays away.
Mzdeadlyspell
I will definately keep everyone posted on how this laser hair removal thing goes wtih my legs. I have had 9 treatments on my face, and bikini area, and must admit they are very hair free. But there usually are a few stragglers that just remain. Hope I get the same results on my legs and will keep everyone informed. A good site to look at is http://www.hairtell.com also..
Falstaff
I actually was in the PHR Centers commercial, having a unibrow issue fixed. Treatment was quick, and I haven't had much of a 'brow problem anymore. Not that I was a werewolf before or anything....just a few errant hairs that I needed to get rid of. I liked it, but I didn't have to pay...so, that could have something to do with it.

The Void
Razors are so much cheaper.....*runs* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreed. But when you have dark hair and are of Italian heritage...that's a lot of dark hair to have to keep off the body.
Mzdeadlyspell
WOW a LHR commercial...Hmm I bet I would be a good candidate when all done. I just have a hard time being patient and waiting for the hairs to get removed....but I must admit it did pinch the pocket book, in fact it burnt a big hole in it.....
