OK. Touchy subject here that I would like to keep away from politics and keep in a scientific frame of mind.....

OK, so we have global warming here on earth. We also have recently shown that Mars is experiencing global warming too. The scientists who actually are studying and tracking global warming say we should not being feeling the affects of global warming for another 100-200 years…. So what is really going on right now?

We also have huge amounts of seismic activity of late. It was after all an earth quake that caused the Tsunami. Guess what... Mars is also showing signs of new seismic activity... and we found new volcanoes on Io.

50% of Earth’s core temperature is caused by radioactive decay. That’s something that has recently been shown. (I read about it in Popular Science) Though not proven it is safe to assume that Mars’s core temp is also somewhat regulated by radioactive decay.

What else do Mars and Earth have in common? The source of all the energy in this system, Sol. The sun is acting oddly. For the last 4-5 years the Sun has been giving off huge solar flares. There is a large number of Sun spots, far more than the Sun should be having at this point in it’s cycle. The Sun is also giving off a large number of large Flares and a number of them have directly hit Earth and even more have given us a glancing blow…

My thoughts…

I think that the Sun is the cause. I believe that the core temps of the planets are being raised by the extra radioactive bath. Higher core temps would raise atmospheric temps. High core temps would also cause more seismic activity and large storms

Just a thought… What do you think of it?.

Damn the Bush Administration for causeing global warming on Mars!!!!

Right on!! Science is just a disguise for poltically motivated conflict anyways.

Heh. Sorry Mark.... :laughing

I honestly don't know enough to form an opinion at this point. probably a little over my head anyways, but I may go snoop around and see what I can find vis a vis your theory.

There's so much slant put on this subject from the left and the right, it's nice to see it presented in a non-political way.

I think this is a good and interesting theory. Words & creativity are my forte, not science by a longshot. So I don't delve beyond the surface of a lot of things like this because I get lost.

But this sounds good to me.
