The Wonderland Mall

Black Sunday

Recommended Posts

So anyways as far as malls go, Wonderland Mall was nothing special. It certainly was not 12 Oaks Mall. It wasn't as flashy as Sommerset in Troy.

But I grew up in Livonia and I used to ride my bizike (that's bike for you non rappers) to wonderland. My grandma (r.i.p.) used to work there.

Even at 22 years old I dated a girl who lived by the mall and we saw movies there. The junk food at their fantastic food court was artery clogging heaven fo shizzle.

Imagine my shock to find that last year they shut the mall down. Not only did they shut it down it is going to be demolished (or has it already been knocked down?). Well I have decided that if it is still standing then I will chain myself to it. They are going to have to take me down with it.

This is something I believe in and will fight for. Who's with me? They can take away our mall but THEY CAN NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what's next, they gonna cancel the Livonia spree?

according to that website, they are just gonna build a new mall in that spot.

So the PROTEST IS OFF!!!

I repeat, do NOT chain yourself to the wonderland mall.

However be near your phones because if the new place doesn't have a food court and an arcade then we are gonna burn the son of a bitch down.

Well these new malls have no soul like the malls of the 80's so there is a good chance that we will have to halt development unless they meet our needs. So I still need you.

What mall do you go to anyway? I bet it's some second rate mall like Macomb Mall or some other weak ass poser shopping center. No arcade I bet.

I was born in Livonia!!  That was the first mall I ever visited!  (It' been a long ass time since I was there, so I don't really remember it)  But I don't want it to go away!  I got my first Where's Waldo book there,  I know that.

and think of what people near Joy road will have to go thru. Once upon a time they could get in their car and have a short trip to wonderland. Now they have to go at least 5 miles to either Livonia Mall or go to the Westland Mall (forget the name of it).

Who's going to look after those people? I bet George Bush or whoever knocked down the mall (well he did knock down the twin towers according to educated rapper 'jadakiss') didn't think of those poor souls.

St Masey I went to Grant Elementery school. I moved after 6th grade but I would have went to Emerson jr high and then Livonia Franklin.

What schools did you go to in Livonia?

I love Livonia. I had the perfect childhood. I wouldn't change a thing. Livonia had great parks, sports leagues, good people.

Dude, I didn't get your warning soon enough. Now I'm out here chained to the front doors, trying to seek help over the internet on my laptop. I destroyed the key to this lock so the cops couldn't get it undone.

It's really hot out here. Anyone have some water?

These bulldozers look strong...
