Homicidalheathen
Blacks and everything else. We use no bleach. We use only cold water. I use regular detergent for the everything else pile and woolite dark for our black. When we went out with $$'s family last week we looked like a gang.....all of us in ominous black clothing. People kept staring.

Moonlight_Phantasy
Thats funny cuz I was just thinkin the same thing the other day when I was washing clothes. Almost all my clothes are Black. I still have some other clothes that are other colors from where other people have given me them. But yep, Black is the winner. I believe 83% of my clothes are black. Except I have this fuchsia bra that sticks out like a sore thumb from everything else because it's so fucking bright..oh and a white bra too...those get hand washed because they don't fit in anywhere else! :laughing
Brenda Starrr
I have to wear black for work. I hardly have any color to speak of. When I do laundry, you can always tell what's mine as opposed to what's Wayne and the kids'. They wear color.
Lilith
LOL Two full grown adult who are partial to BLACK, and kid on his way to only black and then two litter ones who wera allot of dark cloths to hide stains..... yep Black is so my main color to wash. Usually two load a week if not more. for those who want Bright black with out buying wooloite black or any other detergent for dark cloths cause it cost too damn much to wash all those blacks in it, try leaving out the liquid Fabric softner, use cold water, and dont over dry, in high school i asked a friends mom how she kept the black jeans of my friend from fadding and she told me the above, oddly enough for black jeans it did work. I follow the same routine now iwth all darks and it still seems to hold true....... alos a littel Rit fabric dye i nthe wash once things have gotten older helps alot too. Not a whole box about a 1/4 of a box......... Lilith with the cheap perspective

Medea
Sort laundry? *pfft* I just take it all and dump it in. I'm lucky if I pull the stuff out of my jeans pockets ahead of time.
Rayne
Who in their right mind sorts laundry? I own clothes of colour, and I don't sort. Just dump them all in one load, on cold with Tide Coldwater. Works for me.
FarrIL
Wow...... Looks like if we all got together, I'd be the only one wearing colour. And not in my hair. MOST of my clothes are black, at least most of the stuff I wear. But I have either Yellow, White or Blue Oxford shirts to wear over the regular shirt. And 2 black coats that never get washed. I'm mad anal about my laundry 'cos I can't stand having something I love wear out or be damaged in the wash. Machine drying drastically shortens the life of most clothing, esp. anything with elastic or spandex... I hang dry almost everything, only stuff that goes in the dryer is linens & a few pair of pants... & the pants are mostly 'cos it takes some time in the dryer to get the cat fur out. My laundry is a weird mix of the black & purple stuff I mostly wear on my own time, & the African & hippie style clothes I wear to work & family occasions. All the wearables go in cold water with All Free Clear or Woolite. I hate hand washing to the point that I even found a way to machine wash underwire bras without damaging them. Maybe one of you domestic goddesses can tell me this: Is it impossible for modern science to make an unscented liquid fabric softener? I mean, does it come out with some nasty odor that has to be covered up? Only softener product I've found that doesn't have an overpowering chemical perfume reek is Bounce free & clear sheets. I can't be the only person out there who hates perfumey laundry stuff!

Homicidalheathen
Yah where is a 'goth' fabric softner? Just because we like it soft doesn't mean it has to smell pretty. How about one that smells of CC? Stale beer and smoke and piss for the weekends you miss....... Good tip Lilith...
