My brother has done a few visits to a counselor due to his out of control emotions which his anger goes along with. In my own case, I just shut my feelings off and stopped worrying about the problem. Eventually it went away which was lucky since many can't escape it. Only counseling I had was with the rest of the family when we all had stress and anger issues. Personally, I can't imagine what he is going through just after reading his initial post.

Oh my...with all this - flooding my mind is the memories of dealing with psychiatrists and psychologists as a child after my mother tried to commit suicide. I was 5.

And now dealing with them with my oldest daughter....which is a very long story for those who don't know....

My thoughts and prayers are still with him.

Thank you for the update.

Blech, I've been through so many psychologists/psychiatirsts it's not even funny. They all want to put me on the same stupid medication that doesn't work, or they overmedicate, or are just there to get their paycheck. At least dealing with my own mental stuff has helped me to be better at what I do for a living.

I'm so glad to hear that Troy is doing better! Whew...

I was so worried yesterday when I first read all this. I've just got... way too much shit on my plate right now, so many friends hurting. I'm hoping to think that at least one of my friends is on his way to recovery, getting the help he needs.

Troy your a guy that alot people care about you no matter on your blah days or even good days we will always be here to comfert ya. We will still be there for ya'. When get home from the Hospital..I hope you read and think, of killing your self is not the answer at all. I know get deppressed but, heck we all do on here and killing your self won't solve the puzzle of this life. I know it gets over wellming but, heck your there and we can hug ya and tell you how much in person..or even reading everyones post, should help ya, if you need talk to someone or someones..its great have that comfert. I know your always great guy and people like ya..love ya, and no can hate ya'. Hate is such ugly word anyways...or even waste is too. Sounds like something you get rid out system so use Ranting instead. I know this lengthy. But, I hope everyone on here learns a lesson of life. In this way "Sunshine in your mind, heart, and soul when the clouds are dark and gray around ya"-Quote by Me..!!

Just for the record... I'm not so sure this was a suicide attempt. He had alot going on with his health. It's incredibly possible he just was REALLY not himself. Please don't make assumptions like that about him. (Even though it WAS a really scary postand I do know what it sounded like) Give him the understanding he asked for without assumption or suggestion. That's what he needs most.

Same here. I didn't even get that worried at first until others started making comments and put that idea in my head.

I've had fuzzy thinking like that from medication reactions myself and so my personal experience with that made me think that is what it was. It seemed to me as if he realized the meds were affecting his thinking and was planning to go to the doctor to get checked out at the time he made the post. ?

I miss Troy but am happy he is having this chance for rest and renewal.

I just talked to Troy. He's 100% fine. It was all some weird health thing and I guess it's all figured out now. YAY!
