OMFG, I am gonna have a heart attack...................

SIGNAL AUTO CIRCUIT R34 GTR

The Signal Auto R34 GTR is a car that arguably needs no introduction. Already a legend in Japan, and one of the most talked about, and widely covered cars in the US for several years straight, this R34 Skyline GTR is competitive on a variety of motorsports stages. On the drag strip, the stroked out engine of this vehicle is capable of 1200hp and was able to achieve an astounding quarter mile time of 8.64 seconds using the stock body and untubbed wheel wells. This car is predominantly used for circuit and time attack purposes, in which the hp is tuned down to approximately 700-800hp. This vehicle has broken a variety of records in Japan, and in 2004, broke Buttonwillow's track record and placed 2nd at a variety of other US time attack functions, amazingly only using off the shelf STREET RADIALS provided by BF Goodrich, while the competitors used soft compound racing tires. Tanabe fully supports Signal Auto and provides the R34 with Sustec PRO Suspension and Tanabe Exhaust and Sustec chassis parts.

I noticed it (or a car very much like it) on the cover of a BFGoodrich catalog I brought home.  Maybe there are other images out there of it...  :whistling

Hint:  BfGoodrich Tanabe Skyline

So that's a Nissan Skyline? Pretty freakin' sweet. I love the paint job. Please tell me the wing is functional though.

Dude, that is like the GOD of Nissan Skyline's. And regardless, the wing adds character. :wink

See, I like a nice clean look to a car. A wing just kind of ruins the car's "line" in my opinion. The only reason for a wing is it's original intended purpose: to keep the car's rear down at insanely high speeds.

Actually... wings are for cornering downforce, not high speeds... although it certainly adds stability, it also reduces top speed because of drag. Some cars look better clean... others I don't mind some appendages...

Oh, it is capable of insanely high speeds....so yeah, it serves it's purpose as well as adding character. I think it looks good. Usually big wings look like hell, but it is perfect in every detail.

I'll say it again: It's like HEAVEN.....on wheels. :grin

My bad. I'll amend it: The only reason for a wing is it's original intended purpose: to keep the car's rear down at while cornereing at insanely high speeds. Still, super nice though, guy. I used to have an 80's Camaro as my project car. Took up too much money though & got rid of it. =(

I like the part of the statement that said, "The horsepower was TURNED DOWN to ONLY 700-800..."

Oh?  Is that all?  psshhhhh...      :laughing  :laughing  :laughing
