Icky needs a new home!

Recommended Posts

Icky is a beautiful cat. He is 1 year old, male, neutered, with full shots and declawed. He is a full pedigree blue point Siamese with papers. He is extremely friendly and affectionate, is friendly and playful with other cats and people (plays fetch). He is VERY litterbox reliable (not one accident) and would be fine with other pets or kids.

My landlady found out I have him, and I'm only allowed to have 1 cat here without having to pay pet rent, which I cannot afford. He needs a new home. I want him to go to someone who will love him and keep him, and he is free to whomever that is.

Please be aware: Like most siamese cats, he is VERY vocal. Be prepared for a talker. Also, he wants to be with you alot, and will follow people around the house. A final issue: He will chew cloth left in piles. (Unmade beds, towels/blankets on the floor, clothes in laundry baskets, etc) To be safe he should not be allowed access to this type of situation. If this may be an issue, please don't take him. I'd hate to have him abandoned because he does this. It just requires some precautions. (Like keeping kids out from under the sink)

If you want to adopt him, please PM me. I'm not in any super hurry, and am heartbroken about this. :tear

Awww! If I had a house instead of an apartment, I would drive up there and get him myself!!! He's too beautiful......

How 'bout you, Critter?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

He really is.. and soft soft fur. She just found out I have 2, basically violating my lease and said he had to go unless I jack my rent up $100 a month. NO WAY can I do that.

I want to help. And I wanted a typically vocal Siamese when I got Asia - who is an atypical, antisocial, quiet freak of Siamese nature.

But that would bring me up to 15.

Let me think on this. It'd be easier for me to say yes if I could find homes for a few of the ones I've got that were SUPPOSED to be fosters. At this point, however, they've grown on us and it'd be difficult to let them go.

I wonder if there's a Siamese rescue group in the area who'd be willing to take my Asia. Asia has developed a habit of antagonizing Ripley, and Ripley is the A-1, head-honcho kitty in the house - you fuck with her, you're gone. Asia has been given several chances now, and isn't knocking it off.

I'm just hard pressed to give her up, as I don't know who'd take care of her like we do. I'm absurdly paranoid that way.

Let me do some thinking and asking around. I don't want to play "trading Meezers," even if Asia is nothing like what we wanted, and Ichy is everything we wanted.

I'll get back to you.

As much as I would LOVE some pussy in my place for a change...I have to say no since I usually have slobs for guests...except my 2some cuties Unchaste and Eat Ajax...

I have wanted that cat for SO long I wish I could explain. I LOVE siamese babies..also I have a labrador that may not enjoy the company hence making him a spray toy if ya know what I mean?

i wish you all the best in finding the perfect home for him! i have two here already, that's my limit, and my male is sounds just the same... follows me around from room to room. talks constantly and i even had to put child locks on the cabinets when he figured out how to open them. i can imagine you heartbreak, cuz i would feel the same way if Ricky had to find a new home!! good luck!!!!

I have talked to Jon, and we have come to a couple decisions, and one, unfortunately, is that we don't want to take on any new kitties. Sorry. I would have loved him.

We are going to see if we can find a better home for our Asia, and see if we can find a home for Calder. That will take us back down to 12, and we wouldn't think of getting rid of any of the others.

Sorry, Nienna. But I can at least put you in contact with the same Siamese rescue here in Michigan that I contacted about Asia if you'd like.

I'd rather avoid the rescue shelter thing if possible and give him to someone. There' s no rush on this so no worries.

In answer to other questions: He seems very easy going ad MEGA friendly. He'd be great with kids or other animals, though her does like to give gentle bites if playing.. making me wonder about very young kids.

If you want him. Just promise me you'll take good care of him and not just get rid of him. I have someone else also interested, so bsically whomever makes the claim is the winner. He's a real prize too!

oh i would for sure. my only concern would be how he would be around my kids. if he is fine then everything should be great. they have been wanting a cat FOREVER. i didn't want to go and get just any cat which is why i have waited so long.

i will leave it up to you to decide on who you would give him to. i want you to feel you are giving him the best home possible.

Janedead - You're the first person to say you wanted him. I don't have kids, but he's VERY playful and affectionate and I chase him around and wrestle with him and stuff and he's fine. He dosn't get mad or angry or anything. I think he'll be great with kids, in fact it'll probably be good for him to get mauled alot. LOL

PM me your number and I'll call you if you want to meet him. If you want to have him meet your child too to see that's fine. I want to make sure he's a good fit. I'm in Southfield, but could come to you if need be.
