Homicidalheathen
Part of the reason I am vegan. http://www.cqs.com/edioxin.htm
The_Dark
Being a Vegan doesn't mean your safe. Eating only organic foods isn't all that safe either. They may not used pesticides and such.. but they really don't know whats in the soil where they are growing them.
Hellion
:devil Somewhere in one of the southern states, a town called Times Beach was destroyed and contaminated by dioxin back in the late seventies, early eighties. It is no longer listed in the map anymore.
Homicidalheathen
And it is expensive! I have two freinds buying all organic at Whole foods Market and it is so costly that you know they are single, no kids...good jobs.... I do wash my fruit good now though. Ginevra
While I'm not knocking the validity of the article or the fact that dioxins are dangerous, the article that was linked says that <quote> . . . . the chlorinated dioxins and furans, formed as a by-product of the manufacture, molding, or burning of organic chemicals and plastics that contain chlorine. How does being a vegan help keep you safe from this? Seems that not buying plastics and manufactured items would help more by reducing demand for the items.
