So what should a front man wear on stage

Recommended Posts

hmmm..... never thought about a rock a billy look. I havent wore jeans in forever. I think it's time to do some serious shopping. I've always felt it was hard to be a big guy like myself and maintain a sexy look. I've also thought that its not what you wear but how you wear things. These are all great suggestions. Thanks everyone!

Now that rocks!

Come on you we both need to hit Twelve Oaks Mall anyway!

I need to get my own pants so Ajax may have his back...if I let him.

I think the greaser theme would be cool...it's never out of style. :wink

Ok, I am assuming a lot here, I know. Most local acts won't have much issue with stage lights as they will often be non-existant but...

Eyeliner would be a necessity so that you don't look washed out. Just how much is going to be up to you.

Leather - If you are headlining, leather might be a bit warm on stage after a long period of time.

T-shirt and jeans - I have to disagree with this one. I discredit an act if they look like they just rolled out of bed. Part of the reason that I am not out there in a live band is my lack of stage presence.

I recommend:

located here at Hot Topic

Shirts like this work well for larger frontmen because they do ot need to be tucked in. The cut is cool and airy so the sweat factor is low. The 65% poly content meant you are less apt to wrinkle before the show - looking sloppy. They look dressy enough without stifling activity and breathing and are stilll comfortable for after show wear.

It is available at HotTopic.com up to a size 3X for $28.00.

Pleather is much more comfortable than leather as it is considerably cooler. These pants are a comfortable classic 4 pocket jeans style, the legs appear large enough for boots and will be custom made to your measurements. No additional charge for big and tall sizes!!

They are available from mycustomtailor.com any size for $95.00

Additionally, make sure you accessorize. You are the front man. You are the picture of the band and need to look like you have it together.
