I never really understood the point of suicide notes. If you take the time and effort to write a note, then obviously you care about someone and/or know that someone cares about you. So then why kill yourself? If you're considerate enough to write a note, then you should be considerate enough to stay alive and work through whatever's troubling you.

At least that's the case with me anyway. My two attempts 6 years ago and 8 years ago I just hated my life so much, hated where I was at, and didn't give a shit about anything except leaving it all behind. No note, no words, no giving gifts to friends or telling people goodbye. I had completely withdrawn from everybody and everything and was so isolated that the only person living in my world was me, so there was nobody worth telling I was going to die except myself, but I already knew. Or perhaps I didn't because it came as a complete shock to me when I saw the blood and that's the spark that brought me back to life.

Anyway ... sorry to rant. Remember, "I'm not emo. I'm bitter and resentful. There's a difference." (Heh, so I guess right now my spite is what's keeping me going.)

It's nice that you believe your own proaganda... Heh...

And it sucks that nobody cared enough for you to let you get in such a lonely place... Or maybe I should be bonking you on the head for letting yourself get to that place... Hmmm... *Wanders off and ponders this dichotomy*

As for the list... I'm with Onyx... The last one has a nice flare for the dramatic. :whistling

I forced them away and ran when they tried to follow. I had some friends that cared so much, they Orpheused their way all the way into my Hades to bring me back. I didn't want to follow them though. Like Eurydice, I looked back knowing full well where I was going. I enjoyed my hell because it was much less painful than the real world those close to me wanted me to live in.

Or maybe I should be bonking you on the head for letting yourself get to that place...

Yeah, that's the one. I've learned my lesson and will never go back there again. No longer will I be Eurydice. Now I am Orpheus and I'll do whatever it takes to make sure nobody looks back. Even if it's cutting out your eyes.

On second thought, then you might be Oedipus and we don't want any incest.

I agree. Can you imagine sitting down to watch the nightly news over dinner with the family and seeing that? :blink
