I had fun last night and really enjoyed hanging with some of you afterwards at City Bites.

I do have a whole rant though comparing and contrasting the show I did at Emerald vs. hanging out at City that I will post when I'm more awake and have the time to rant.

Ummm... yeah. Time spent at CC was fantastic. Hiccups and all.

But returning to our truck (parked on Bagley) to find that someone had smashed the passenger side window, ripped open the dashboard, stolen the stereo INCLUDING the remote control and all the mess that went with it really, really, really, really sucked. =(

You'd think with a POS Beverly Fucking Hillbillies truck like we've got, nobody'd bother. But the Sirius satellite antenna on the roof probably gave it away that the stereo was worth more than the damned truck.

And on top of everything, Jon's glasses were sitting on the passenger seat, and got destroyed when the thief smashed the window and then sat on the seat, grinding the glass shards into the plastic lenses.

We ended up having to drive down to the police station at Warren & Woodward to make our police report. Then it was a very, very cold fucking drive home on I-94, with a small rug that happened to be in the truck shut into the window, and me holding it down with an icy, sore fist to keep it from flapping into the truck while Jon drove home, barely able to see (I was too drunk to take over the wheel).

We spent today frantically calling optometric centers to see who could make Jon glasses TODAY and for what little $$ we had available (which included the $100 we made selling vacuums and stuff that was supposed to go into the Christmas Kitty that we were going to use for our annual Christmas shopping spree - bye bye corset & new boots =().

The only fortunate thing is, my purse was in the back seat with that $100 in it, but they didn't see it (duh on my part, I know...). Thank goodness there's so much debris back there they couldn't see it. (I told myself before leaving the house to take that $$ out of there, won't risk that a 2nd time.)

I just know our comp deductible is five hundred fucking dollars, which means we are totally, totally screwed. Guess it's a plastic wrap & duct tape window for us for a while.

Unfortunately, this means you won't be seeing us at CC for quite some time. I have to call AAA tomorrow to find out what our deductible is and what we can and can't claim. If I'm right and our deductible is $500, we just won't be able to bring the truck into the city until it's fixed.

And yes, we will be arriving early enough to park in the fenced lot once we are able to come back. Sucks this happened after 15 years of attendance there. Guess it was bound to.

I'm hoping I went for that $250 deductible at most. That we might be able to handle in less than a couple weeks if some stuff we're selling online gets sold.

At least Jon got new glasses. Merry fucking Christmas.

I'm sorry that happened FC. Pharoh's car was also broken into recently outside CC as well.

Indeed that is part of the reason I removed my Sirius system from my car ... and partly why I am hesitating the paint job I'm supposed to be putting it through right about now.

I had a fun time. I got to meet some new friendly faces and faces I didn't even remember meeting. Best parts of the night were JustDave walking around with a gold ribbon around his head like the karate kid. LOL. And um..ahh well when I come to it I will post my encounters on who I saw.

A-F-F reigns supreme!!!

Eh, had an SUV veer at me after he panicked getting too close to the shoulder. So I ended up taking the ditch while he drove off. 2 hours and $60 later it was after 3am and I was too pissed and tired to go. Why try when you can't even drink. I had to wake up at 11am anyway to work at Sears. Sorry I missed the hooplah.
