A very dark NPR moment

Lordy.  I want to put him in a black trench coat and a eye mask and take him to City Club.

He pretty much said it exactly huh.  Ending up in medocrity........sigh.

I like the part where he talks about taking apart your beliefs and trying to put them back together... "...tough job, nothing fits"

I love the ending.....the rat...gnawing, gnawing......arrr.  Life sucks like that.  Everyday the hole that was my soul grows bigger until it has swallowed my whole will and there is nothing left but uncle sams drone.

Yeah, it's a struggle every day for me to try and maintain my sense of self and balance who I am/want to be with what my responsibilities (mortgage, car payment, job, family) force me to be. Even just a stupid simple thing like dying my hair black is something I have to seriously think about. What if it affects my job or my raise? How will it affect my relationship with my coworkers? It's ridiculous sometimes. I would definitely say that I'm the one that he mentions that's trying to build something, but the rat has already started to gnaw as well...
