I just wanna say it... I keep hearing about various bisnesses not allowing people to say Merry Christmas.. only Happy Holidays... so, for all of you out there offended by it....

!!!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I hopy you have a great Christmas. I know you don't believe in this particular holiday and I really don;t care.. I still wish a Merry Christmas to you.

Nice thing about being pagan is that it's an inclusive religion, so I can celebrate any holiday I want to!  Merry Christmas to you as well, dark.  Hehehe.  Pagans can be holiday sluts if they want to be.  :wink

I've been to pagan Solstice gatherings... dinner with a jewish family for hanukkah... havne't done anything for Kwanza yet (i don't know any black people that celebrate it)... my point is.. I don't think to wish a happy whatever to people for faiths I dont practice. I don't think about them, so I dont think of them.

My point being... you don't have to be pagan to be a holiday whore.... holiday food is damn good no matter what the religion being practiced.

really? people are not allowed now to say merry christmas? i have noticed that i always hear "happy holidays" when i am at some store/gas station/business but i always thought of that as they lumping up every holiday thanksgiving/x-mas/new years and every thing in between into one easy greeting. never really thought they might not be allowed to say it.

even if you don't practice christmas or are of another faith i don't see why merry christmas should be offensive anyways.

christmas is so commericalized anyways - on tv it is how many more days til christmas, or come to sears to do your christmas shopping, kids get christmas break from school etc... not trying to belittle any other holidays around this time but christmas is what it is.

when i was in school i remember some big deal about the star being placed on the christmas tree. people were completely against it.(this was at my public school- most schools i went to before that were catholic)

isn't it still a "christmas tree"? why celebrate that holiday in any way if you are going to make it only about santa and presants anyways but not allow the true meaning of the holiday to still take it's place?

well anyways that is my rant and merry christmas to you too dark! hope you and your family have a great one.

I started saying "Happy Holidays" years ago in order to be as inclusive as possible, without knowing what a given person believes.

Similar to why I started always using "Ms" for any women I address properly. Covers everything without possibly mistaking married for not-married and vice-versa.

Since my family is Catholic but I am a closeted heathen, I can handle all of it.

I'm kinda for political correctness and separating church & state. But I do think things are going, much, much too overboard these days. A Christmas tree is just that - a Christmas tree. Requiring that one be referred to as a "holiday tree" makes me want to puke.

I would be if not for the fact that you red staters cut down all the trees in Michigan and there is nothing left to hug except the poor displaced squirrells who now roam the streets of mega condos and walmart parking lots.
