Scary Guy
As far as I know, torrid is still online. http://www.torrid.com I'd also like to add it's hard finding clothing being tall and skinny too. I can never find pants long enough :(
Fierce Critter
Torrid's styles have changed quite a bit - they no longer cater to people who like Hot Topic clothes yet don't fit into them. You can find an item or two, but the selection is nothing like it used to be. eBay is a great place to find plus-sized goth/punk/alternative clothes. Dots & Deb stores carry plus-sizes, catering toward the Jr. Plus customer - you can find bits and pieces that suit the style on occasion. There's a thread going on right now also discussing favorite places to get goth clothes.
Scary Guy
But does that thread cater to the larger sized too? This is specific. I mean I went into a big and tall one time. Little did I know they only catered to those who were big and tall, not either or. I left pretty dissapointed.

wormsinwombs
oh I have been noticing that hottopic online has a plus size section, and there is actually very nice stuff too.

Someone mentioned big and tall, but he was big and tall. I'm just sayin...
Fierce Critter
So what if they want specifics then? Someone mentioned big and tall, but he was big and tall. I'm just sayin... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sometimes people will respond to one thread, and not another. The thread I refer to has at least 2 recommendations for plus-sized goth clothing. I was an early respondent in this thread, giving my own recommendations, and leading them to another area they might find more - because I already knew of recommendations being made there. Sometimes the same info doesn't make it into a new thread if people already offered it in an earlier one. People get lazy and sometimes don't want to repeat themselves. Not really sure why I had to explain all this...
Fierce Critter
Also might bear mentioning that you can find clothes and accessories that will work in non-plus sized stores/websites. For instance, probably 95% of the skirts I wear are NOT from plus-sized stores. They're stretch material with elastic waistbands, and so work very well when worn under a longer top/t-shirt. So it doesn't hurt to check out regular-sized stores that carry gothy fashions. Some websites have friendly customer service reps who are willing to give you the actual measurements of an article so you can determine whether or not their "XL" will actually stretch to fit a 2x.
