Help! I need a dentist!

I need suggestions for a dentist in the Southfield or surrounding areas. I'm looking for a GOOD dentist over a cheap dentist, but one who will accept my insurance. (Guardian) I'm so new to the area I have no idea where to look and I'm way to anal about my teeth to just shop around. I had to bounce two doctors before I had good luck down here and I'm scared to let a stranger in my mouth! Who do you trust your chompers to?

It is a bit further out, but he is excellent, I have been going for years. I take 696 to M-5 and to 14 mile make a right. It takes about ten to fifteen minutes for me to get there.

Call to find out if they take your insurance, I think I used to have Guardian at some point.

I have looked around in Southfield, but seriously am willing to travel when it comes to the teeth!

I see Dr. Jane Watko. She's on 12 Mile, west of Evergreen. Don't have the info on hand at the moment. If you want it, let me know and I'll go dig it up.

I used to go to a team of dentists in Belleville on Haggerty... I forget the name of their group, but it was basically a list of their names. Something like Kane, Meizels, Fox, something and Berman.

Gary Berman, the youngest dentist there, was fantastic. If you search Switchboard for his name under dentists, you'll find him.

I think Kane was the one who coached me through being able to go without novacaine for drilling.

May be a hike for you, but they were a hike for me & my sister (who was treated there for TMJ) and it was very, very worth it.

They hooked up the nitrous (plus the novocaine) and gave me some headphones so that I wouldn't hear the drill. As far as comfort goes, they are the best that I've ever been to.
