Scary Guy
So, my question is, what makes these things evil? And, if churches, governments, and corporations are all evil, what isn't evil? Are ANY governments, churches or corporations not evil? And what's the difference? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're all ran by people. Maybe their intentions are good, but then again the road to hell is paved with those. If you look hard enough you can find evil in anything though. Make no mistake about it though. Some of the biggest villians in history have hidden behind religion. What better way to brainwash and control the sheeple.
Aralis
I think insurance companies are evil! You pay all this money outta your check over the year and when you go to use it barely anything is covered...you have to pay copays and then they deny alot of the charges. Its very frustrating and its like why do you even bother wasting your money. You have to fight with the company and your afriad to even use the insurance cuz you do not want to end up with another bill that month for seeing the doctor or whatever. Lilith
I think any company that is US based that outsources Jobs to another Country is Evil. They just want to take take take but not give back... they want us to buy buy buy but not provide the jobs to fund our buying...... :blink
Scary Guy
Like I said... and as far as outsourcing goes they're just trying to stay afloat usually. It sucks and it's one of the main causes of the problem. But most companies only look out for themselves first and the workers second. This is actually not a bad plan because if the commpany goes under then everyone is out of a job. The ONLY thing keeping detroit alive is the big 3. Just about every other company in Detroit survives off of them either selling to or buying from them. With the shutdown of 8 plants and Delphi going into bankrupsy I suspect a mass riot and then a martial law war zone in 3-5 years time, unless something happens to pull us out of it. It isn't going to be the superbowl thats for sure.

Lilith
I understand the the resaoning i guess, cause yes if the company does not do well then there would be no jobs what so ever, but i am sure there could be some sort of agreement or compromise made if every one would consider all the sides and consiquences or if they laid all cards on the table honestly and worked togther for the good of all involved isntead of just one side. I now an awfull lot of people who would not mind working for a bit less, just to have a decent Job with soem type of health insurance and such. I know its more complicated, it just seems there would be a better solution then sending the Job out of the US, casue sending emplyment else where only limits the amount we as comsumer can spend on those products casue we dont have a JOb or had to take a one with much less pay, so in ways i am sure outsourceing the jobs hurt the Company more, also i would asume that if you got shafted by say GM after workign there say 10 years would you spend you $ on there product still? NO i would spend my money on another car, so shafting your own emplyees cuts you own profit and customer base. MAybe my simple mind sees it diffrently as i said i am sure it is more complicated then just that but those are the parts i see that make a palce evil. HipsterDufus
One of the most interesting things I've ever heard is from my economics teacher: Regardless of what you believe politically; whether you believe in an absolute free market, or government controlled businesses, the most worrying thing that can happen in ANY economy is when the gap between the rich and poor continues to grow. This is how you define a declining economy. This is currently happening in America and as long as outsourcing continues, I believe the gap will continue to grow. Someday, we'll all be working and shopping at Wal-Mart...

Falstaff
One that most people are familar with is Primerica. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh dear god....not Primerica. I got duped into going to one of their 'seminars' a couple years back. How they are a 'legitimate business' is BEYOND me. They're practically a cult, and the members will defend Primerica with the passion of a suicide bomber
