Puppies - the human kind

Recommended Posts

I've had people like puppies in my life, they would follow me around and acted like I was cool, or a role-model, or something. I've also been like a puppy, for instance a long time ago when I was a little kid I used to follow this one older kid around and earned the nickname "Shadow."

I'm sure everyone has been like a puppy, it's a child-like trait and response to insecurity. Everyone goes through insecurity in life and it's how they respond to it. We're constantly changing the way we respond things in order to better ourselves.

What it comes down to is you can't have a steady friendship without a shared foundation of respect. When someone doesn't respect your space, your time, your attention, these kind of things that give you self-esteem by being valuable- then they aren't respecting themselves either. Then there's also the idea that nobody who's emotionally intelligent wants to look extremely stuck-up towards others. So the key is striking an assertive balance.

well said, the one thing I never did like was when someone would only hang around you if you had money, which is sad, thats why I have written a few out of my life forever.

I've had my fair share of Puppies.

I'm very happy those days are over. Now I just have to get rid of my stalker that is getting on my last nerve.

I really wish I was joking about the whole stalker thing.

Geez geez...alright I'll freakin' lay off already. You coulda said something before though.

Thanks. I met someone like that once, and being poor, I got rid of them fast, lol. Thankfully I loaned them less than a dollar.

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
