Many of you, maybe not so many of you, but some of you will likely remember disenchanted. He's getting married March 25th. And since he was basically my best friend after meeting him through DGN, and through the entirety of my knowing him while living in Kalamazoo post that time, I'm bound and determined to be at his joining.

Which means, well, I'm leaving Alaska for a two week period to see all the sites and people I miss so dearly, and even those I really don't know that well yet.

So expect to be expected, somehow, somewhere.

And yes.. I'm really coming this time, not just talking about it and then giving up at the last minute.

The plan is not fully plowed out yet, but it will be by the end of the month.

Holy crap, I'm excited.

And I promise to come to city club and actually dance this year, unlike last year where I was sick the whole time cause I got too drunk on new years eve.

Now, get excited, people!

Whoo!!! Gawd I havnt talked to ya in forever. Sorry about the last time we chatted, I was going through some stuff and highly stressed to talk at the moment. It be kewl to see a old friend again :grin

Hmm... yeah, I think we were both experiencing stuff. I'm still experiencing stuff, but I'm not letting it get to me anymore.

And I'm not EXACTLY a visitor from afar... though I guess I've kind of earned "visitor from afar" status.

Don't worry HH, it wasn't the booze, you joined way after I moved away.

My "big city club night" will probably be april fools day, though I'm hoping in two weeks time to make more than one appearance.

And yes... I'll post some recent-like pictures before I come back, so you can all look and be able to recognize my mug. Now I just have to TAKE some recent-like pictures. Last time I took pictures, I had orange and blonde hair, now it's purple and... lots of stuff.

Hey, I almost forgot, my boss and I worked out my schedule, so here's how it's going to go -

I'll leave Anchorage the night of the 23rd, arrive in kalamazoo the 24th, then depending on when the wedding is the next day, either drive and meet someone to stay with that night, or drive in the next day. Then I'm about the state until the third or fourth, returning to work on the fifth of April.

Um... I haven't made any plans beyond that. I just know that I'll have to make City Club, Club Tuna... I mean Luna, and Mephistos cause I've never been, and a few other places in d-town, and that some Sunday, I have to make it to the ZooBar in Kalamazoo, and I have to spend a little time in Grand Rapids. There are specific people I have to see, and I have to have a meal at fazoli's.

Other than that, I'm open to suggestions and dinner parties.

Hopefully, I'll be renting a car, so that I'm not relying on others to escort me, cause that really sucks.

And that's really all I know at this juncture. Aside from the fact that I have popcorn in my teeth.

Judging by the fact that your signature is from one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands, and that apparently you fancy the Cocteau Twins, I think they might actually be on to something.

Course, I'm still trying to figure out the best solutions involving where to stay on the nights when I'm staying in d-town. I have a few leads, I just have to let the leads in on it, then hope they like me enough to agree. Dude, one month to go? What happened to all my careful foresight?

HEY!!! LOOK AT ME!!!

I know these aren't very recent, really. I took them last fall, as noted. But hey, at least it's better than the black and white bit I had up before.

Ah... the delight of vanity pictures.

Also, my hair is quite a bit longer and moppier now, but that may also change before I come back to visit, depending on my mood. I'm kind of fed up with the length right now. It just kind of hangs there.

Have you plans solidified any? I finally got to reading this thread all the way through and noticed that you may need lodgings. If nobody else has offered, you're welcome to stay in my daughter's room since they aren't with me most of the time you'll be here. You can even sleep on the upper bunk. :tongue:
