Detroit Pistons = defeating anyone

yeah I know, another sports thread.

but come on, the Pistons have played 30 games and have won 26 of them. This is the 5th best record after 30 games in NBA history (four other teams started 27-3) and the Pistons are on pace to have the best record in basketball history.

They beat the Spurs - the spurs are the team that beat them in the NBA finals last year.

They beat the Heat - the heat were supposed to be Detroit's main competition in the east this year.

They beat the Suns - another quality team.

They have 4 losses but they will certainly avenge those losses beginning tonight against Utah.

Anyone else watching this team obliterate everything in their path?

By the way, the best Pistons record of all time was 63-19 in the 1989/90 season, this years team will certainly eclipse that mark.

Yep, even Scottie Pippen said that the Pistons are on there way to challenge the Bulls NBA record of 72 victories set during the 1995-96 season. Joe Dumars certainly knew what he was doing when he put together the team and bring in Flip Saunders (who was an unlikely hero when compaired to Larry Brown) has certainly proved to be the icing on the cake.

Nothing that comes out of Detroit wins. I favor sports teams from other states.

Where have you been? The Wings have been a great playoff team for over 10 years and during the last few seasons (including this year thus far) have held the best record in the NHL. The Pistons have been to the finals 2 years in a row and currently have the best record in the NBA. I could go on and on. Now only if we can get the Tigers in gear and dare I say it even the Lions then we would be set, but at least the Tigers have won a championship in my lifetime which is something I not think I will ever be able to say about the Lions.

I jinxed the Pistons - they lost to the Jazz twice now? WTF?

In a playoff series the Pistons would sweep the jazz, so how did this happen? Yikes. It looked like the Pistons didn't take the game very seriously, as if they could just coast thru the game.

Let's hope it doesn't happen again. Still, 27-5 is impressive.

DarkVampire, Pistons won the NBA championship in 1989, 1990, 2004, were a few minutes away from winning it in 2005 and are the front runner to win it in 2006.
