Quinten Tarrentino

Recommended Posts

Im sad....Quinten used to be one of my favorite directors, but i have lost faith in him becuase of his last two films he had a connection with. These films are "Wolf Creek" and Hostle". Although he didnt really have anything to do with Wolf Creek, he did say it was "The scariest movie in 25 years, sure to join the horror movie hall of fame". And it was by far the worst horror movie i have EVER seen, and im a huge horror movie person. I mean, the plot was terrible, the filming was foggy and you couldnt see much, and the killer wasnt even creative....just had a knife and stabbed one, and shot the other...OOOoooOo scary....yea....no.

And Hostle, I was looking forward to this movie, the previews made it look amazing, i thought it was going to be one of the best I have seen in a while, and plus, quinten doing an actual horror? how could anytyhing go wrong? Well...concidering there were only 2 realy good torture scenes, 1 ok one, and 2 of them ended up being more funny then scary anyways (the scenes im talknig about are the one where the torure guy slipped on the ball gag and when the guy cut the girls eye out and orange goo spilt out f it. lol...orange goo, who though up of that?). The movie took way to long for it to get going, and it was way to obvius that the girls were in on it....and the ending was so quick that i couldnt believe it was actually over, so i stayed till the end of the credits to see if anything else happend...which it didnt.

As of right now, im seriuslt doubting Quinten at the moment and will be hesitent (spelling<) to go and see anything else he has a connection to...hopefully this is just a really....really bad speed bump.

I've never liked him or his movies, his movies are blatant rip offs of other movies....especially Pulp Fiction.....the fact that he admits he rips off other movies (or pays homage to them in his opinion) doesn't change the fact that he has nothing original or interesting to say.

Also, can the guy try entertaining people without all the violence? He's a one trick pony.

Which movie was pulp fiction ripped off of? I know the briefcase with the 40watt yellow light bulb surrounded by tinfoil was from a Film Noir movie.... anyway,

Resivoir Dogs was "borrowed" from The Great St. Louis Bank robbery or bank heist.. or somthing like that Im pretty sure it had Steve McQueen in it.... I saw it 20 years ago, and have not been willing to pay for the DVD to make sure its the same movie.

Pulp Fiction was a blend of several older movies, Resevoir Dogs borrowed heavily from the movie "city of fire" with some of the shots looking EXACTLY the same as the original. Kill Bill was a hodgepodge of many of Tarantino's favorite kung fu films.....which he freely admits.....he's the Puff Daddy of film making.
