Falstaff
So, going through IMDB, I read a conversation that was talking about the remake of Black Christmas. I don't think I had mentioned, in previous threads, that this movie absolutely to this day scares the living hell out of me. An oversight, really. So, I was fishing around for info, and apparently...yep...slated for release this year. A goddamned remake. WHY? The original was pretty damned original at the time, and unless they totally reinvent the whole movie, it's going to look like a complete ripoff of the movies that it influenced (Halloween, When A Stranger Calls), and if they change shit around enough to make it original...then what' the point? I'm just a fan of the original...I can't see why they don't just rerelease half of these movies to the theater, rather than remake them. The Omen, the Evil Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, all being remade. Not to mention the prequel to the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Masascre, and a remake of The Warriors (which, I know is not horror, but...still, one of my favorites) Anyhow...back to Black Christmas.....is anyone else really still scared by this movie, or am I the only pussy here? Only reason I've suddenly got such a hardon for this movie is because I could've sworn I heard someone say "Agnes....it's me billy, don't tell what we did" this morning...from under the stairs...scared the shit out of me
Homicidalheathen
Wow a GOOD 'ol horror movie I missed? I have to see the origional to compare, but I agree. Usually the origional is better. Not always but usually.
