Hellion
:devil Those Lightbright kind of signs you see on the freeways are very easy to read and understand, but not for the ass-ume driver! They say things like "Don't Crowd The Plow" and "Don't Tailgate" To be read by assholes who get off on roadrage. How about "Accident Westbound 696 and Woodward" Just ignore and find out the hard way when you have to spend 3 hours in a traffic jam. What about this one, Headlights on in foggy Conditions; For the assume driver don't bother turning on headlights and ass-ume everyone can see you because when you assume you make an ass out of you and me. And the famous reminder; Stay Sober on Land and Sea, Well I can understand this one,PS Hey I've done it too. Well the part that means to stay sober on the water, heres an idea: They ought to have lightbright signs on little rafts on the lakes and rivers just remind everyone. Guest Megalicious
When I read this it made me laugh my ass off ..... Ive been back in Cali less then a week and I cant fucking stand drivers out here .. I think Ive already been in about a dozen accidents due to ppl not being able to use a blinker, trying to get over 5 lanes in a matter of seconds at 5pm on the 101 and wondering why ppl wont let them over ... I swear I hate driving here.. Youve got it good Crank... =) Be thankful you dont have to drive here ...
Ginevra
The San Diego area is where I learned how to drive, so yeah, it can be murder to drive in that area. I am glad that is where I learned to drive, however, because it makes it easier to deal with other places. Except Detroit.
Head Wreck
erm. on a skidpan. then i took up occasional driving on private land. then i had driving lessons. tbh i see a lot of learners driving about 30 in 40 zones 40 in 60 zones. i was never that slow. the tailback of this one guy today was fecking huge, and theres only 1 road in and out of my town unless you go on the dirt tracks over the mountain and through the farms etc. not nice roads and many cars through hedges after some of the Z bends (yes Z bends not S bends) and junctions i do not think 2mph from about 70 yards from a junction is reasonable. drop that kid in london they'd probably break down and cry. and as for what happens when they do pass and suddenly decide to do some speeding? i'm still shocked at how some of my work collegues react in a skid. some even said they do the complete opposite to what should be done so god help them when it happens. mind you i almost failed my driving practical for going to fast to junctions. tempted to go for a minibus liscence now, maybe a pass pluss to get some experience with high performance cars (and lower the insurance) after that.... tracked vehicle or HGV... depending on how this job i'm chasing up goes
Rayne
Would that be comparable to skid pad training over here? *ponders*
Rayne
2) What's a junction and why do you have to go 2mph through them? Which leads me to another one... aren't you guys on the kph system? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, we have junctions ...
