Fierce Critter
I'm looking for a good home for Mama. So-named because when we took her in as a foster, with 4 tiny babies, we never intended to keep her. So rather than give her a name that would make her more poersonal to me, we kept calling her Mama. Now it has stuck. Mama is a beautiful tabby. She has very large eyes, and I wouldn't doubt that somewhere in her lineage is some Scottish Fold. Her fur is soft as silk. And she is VERY petite. Her half-persian daughters Phoebe & Ray have taken after her size-wise, yet are still bigger than her. Mama took a dislike to Oakley, our German Shepherd, right off the bat because she saw him as a threat to her kits. So she already has a problem with dogs it appears. And now, her reaction to other cats is to growl, scream & hiss. She just isn't improving, so it's time to find her a home where she will be the only cat. I don't know if she'd do o.k. with a dog, I'd think no. Mama has it in her to be a nice cat. When kept separated from the rest of the house while nursing, she was personable, liked to play, came to me for pets, and took awesome care of her kits. I have been reluctant to give her up because she has a history of being passed from home to home to home, and I just didn't want her to go through that again. But she is NOT getting along with the rest of the brood. So for her happiness and everyone else's, I'm hoping someone can give her a better home. I have some rules. ABSOLUTELY no outside homes. She is to be kept indoors ONLY. No declawing. If she doesn't work out for you, GIVE HER BACK. I'll go through an adoption group if I have to rather than have her shuttled too many times. If you prefer, I will have her spayed before handing her over. I have a group helping me that will do her for $20. And no, I don't think that'll help her behavior. I have had 11 cats pre-and-post neuter/spay, and not a one has exhibited changed behavior due to the procedure. PM for inquiries, please. =)
LuluVox
She's so adorable! If I didn't already have a moody little fuzzball of my own, I'd snap her up in a second. Good luck; I'm sure you'll eventually find her the perfect home. =)
Ginevra
I wish I could help, FC, truly. I have my feelers out with some people I know so maybe that will help in some way.

Fierce Critter
She has so much potential. She had a rare "nice" moment with us the other day. Came onto the bed and actually went out of her way for rubbings & pettings. Flipping onto her back, wiggling around, purring. She just gets so hostile when approached by other cats. We'll keep her if we can't find a good place for her. I'd keep her anyway, just to make sure she had at least a safe home for the rest of her life. But I think it's being less selfish to try to place her somewhere she can feel more at-ease. I keep wishing and hoping she'd just settle in. But we've had her since May of last year, and it only seems to be getting worse, not better. The woman I got her from found her on the street. Then she passed her on to me. So she's already been in 3 homes at least. I'm just gagging at the thought of what all this "passing around" has done to her psyche.
