Ever have this happen to you?

:devil You ever experience this deal where you are in a deep sleep and some reason you kinda open your eyes and you can see, but you can't move or breath. Then a couple seconds later you snap out of it. I have had this happen here and there and I hate when it happens. Same thing when you are asleep you all of a sudden jerk about or move all of a sudden and wake up. I definately would like to find out what causes this because it annoys me like hell! Well at least it does'nt happen all the time.

I've had that happen to me alot since I got back from Iraq. But I also wake up covered in my own sweat.

I forget the name of that, I think it's sleep paralysis.

Has happened to Jon on more than one occasion.

I haven't experienced that. But I have had a moment between asleep and awake when I feel like I'm "falling" back into myself. That's kinda weird, but fun.

That used to happen to me all the time. Once I lost three days of sleep because of it.

mind you could be my subconcious lack of will to go to work and take orders from someone i wonder how they graduated junior school, let alone to subsitute a post. most meglomaniacs at least have intelligence.

i was talking with this guy who's family was from puarto rico about the same subject because eirlier that week i spent what seemed like an hour trying to scream cause i couldn't move. asleep only physically. he described to something horrable that i honestly believe as true.

he said that every member of his family died in their sleep. he said that this sleep pyralisys would happen to him but he would see a black shadow looming over his head getting slowly closer and a face made of dark shadow would start to emerge.

he described the feeling of total panic that comes with sleep pyralisys. he described 3 occasions of this seeing the same black face looming ever closer. the same shadow that had been described to him by other family members. apperently all his past family had seen this same face. some of them used to talk about it all the time seaming senile days before they were found dead.

this guy vinni was young about 23 a construction worker. drinking some smoking some around a fire. mostly we talked about work till i brought up that sleep event eirlier in the week. his obvious discomfort and look of terror intrigued me so i pressed on till igot that story from him. he described it with such honesty.

i could tell becouse there was no dramatic aspect heavy slang and lots of resistance as he seamed to not want to remember. consiously oblivious to details that still plauged his mind.

seams like a family curse.
