Suggestion for an instant or quick meal, please

I forgot that the dinner I was supposed to make today was a slow-cooker meal. Too late for that, and don't have anything else in the house.

Ordinarily, I'd run out to Meijer's nearby and get one of their rotisserie chickens for $5.00 and whip up an instant side-dish. But I'm so sick of those. We've been eating them a lot lately, in case you hadn't guessed.

Any suggestions for something else I can run out and pick up for around $5.00? Either something ready-to-eat or requiring a minimum of pans?

My kids and I love this:

Haystacks (or Walking Tacos)

Chili-Cheese or regular Fritos

1 can of your favorite Chili (We just like plain chili beans)

Salsa

Shredded cheese

Warm it up in the microwave, add shredded lettuce if you like and/or onions or garnish

chili - 1lb. hamburger, 1 can dark kidney beans, 1 can whole tomatoes, 1 pack chili seasoning...

Thanks for the suggestions. We ended up going to our favorite pub for sandwiches.

Eating out is, by far, our biggest weakness & waste of money. We're working on it. It doesn't help that storage space in both our cupboards & fridge is severely limited, so we can't keep much around in the way of "grab & go" foods or basics we can throw together to make things like the aforementioned chili, etc.

Maybe we can put some shelves up in the basement I can store some canned goods on. That might help.
