Wounds Within
Officers in Iraq are warning everyone that Iraq may very well be on a path to their very own civil war. Gunmen killed dozens of civilians today and dumped the bodies in a ditch. The government ordered an unusual daytime curfew in Baghdad and three other provinces to stop the violence that has left at least 114 dead since the bombing of a Shiite shrine. This curfew will also prevent people from attending the week’s most important Muslim prayer service Also today seven U.S. soldiers died in a pair of roadside bombings north of the capital, and American military units in the Baghdad area were told to halt all but essential travel to avoid getting caught up in demonstrations or roadblocks. Despite comments from various Iraqi leaders, U.S. officials said they believed mainstream politicians understood the danger facing the country and would try to prevent a civil war. I like how the leader of Iran blamed the bombing of the mosques on Isreal and the US.
The_Dark
Ofcourse he would... his Muslim followers would never do anything like that. (sarcasm from hell there.) It's coming.. and not just in Iraq. The seeds of a religious war have already been sewn in Nigeria. The Muslims of the north half of the country burnt down 50 churchs and killed 70+ Christians... The Christians of the south then razed 3 or 4 Mosques and the body count is still risining on both sides... The Muslims of Pakistan are still rioting and calling for the destruction of Denmark and the USA (how we got mixed up in this cartoon thing is beyond me). Division within the Muslim faith is being exasperated in Iraq and other areas of the Middle east... Riots all over the middle east.. again.. over cartoons.... Muslim Professors at prominant Michigan Universitys telling people that to accept and respect the US Constitution is against Islam and any Muslim that does it is an Infidel.... (Infidel=Fair Target) The whole world is on the verge of the largest Holy war since the Muhamed and his armys took over the middle east.

ZhukovCodeslinger
if a suni-shia war starts in Iraq... the Suni are screwed 1. Suni are minority 2. Shia want (and probably deserve revenge for 30+ years of Suni Baathist totalitarian oppression 3. Iran is Shia 4. The rest of the Suni states are less than thrilled about getting involved 5. Jihadism is slackening as they are only successfull at getting killed rather than killing others. 6. The Shia are the dominant security forces in Iraq now. 7. The USA sides with the Shia 8. The Kurds also hate the Suni

The curious thing about this is the that it's between sects of the Muslim religion. Maybe not so curious.. but you know what I mean. They don't like each other almost as much as they don't like Christianity and other Western religions and influences. Will they beat on each other or others first? That's the million dollar question. I don't see it getting better before it gets a lot worse.
