A Question to Ponder

OK, so... This is an odd question that I thought up while sitting around getting high with my friends... Yes, we talk about some fucked up shit... Here goes..

Your sitting at home one day and *poof* God/Allah/Goddess/Supreme being appears in your living room. He puts a small black box on your coffee table. The Box has a large Red button on it. God person says "If you push this button, every person who is truley evil will cease to exists. You have 5min to decide."

Do you push it? And please explain your answer. BTW... If you don't beleive in a supreme being of any type... either pretend for the sake of the question or just dont post.

No I don't for several reasons...

1.) Evil is relative, and who the hell knows what God type person might consider evil, we hear so many different interpretations, that I would find it almost impossible to tell who would actually dissapear... Everybody but the mormons? People who are left handed? we don't know...

2.) Everybody deserves a chance to change...

I do not know what limits god has set. I don't know what is concidered the fine line between good and bad.

What defines it? The bible explains some things, and I certainly do not have those qualities.

I see all the things god describes as bad, which I do. Unintentionally, but I do.

AND I have no excuse. SO does acknowledging that make me worse? In my opinion yes...cause I know better.....make sense?

They existed by the prior actions before they stoped existsing, the memories people have of them, debts they owe, etc.

BTW Phee pretty much summed up what I was going to say.

Everyone deserve A chance to change, however only 25, assuming a max of 3 per person. If they fuck over that many people, then yes, they get to die.

On another note... if a supreme being were to present this choice to someone, I would have to draw the conclusion that the reason that the world sucks so much and is such an awful place is because if this Godlike thingy that would do this, would truelly be fucked up and wrong in the head... and all of a sudden it would become clear... the reason the world sucks is because God is a sadistic Bitch!!!

They existed by the prior actions before they stoped existsing, the memories people have of them, debts they owe, etc.

i guess it's in how you define it - to me, if a person dies, they still exist in memory, in physical body (cemetary, etc...) but if they *cease to exist*, that (to me) would wipe them out completely - if they didn't exist, there could be no memories, etc... follow!?

To Clarify things:

True Evil - is exactly what ever you think it is deep in your heart.

Cease to Exists - They never existed, they would be wiped from this reality completly.

The Kicker - Pushing the button would in itself be an act of pure evil. you would go too. or at least.. that what all us stoners came up with.
