about 15-16ish....

I could buy them from the gas station at Ford & Sheldon

or steal them from Dad.

I regret I started ever...everyday

I quit for freakin 7 months, cold-turkey. It was hell.

I had ONE smoke....and BAM....smoking again

It's like crack I tell you....AND FOR WHAT!?

The Tingly numb, euphoric feelings go away after like 2 days

I hate cigarettes...hate em

They've killed so many loved ones

I started when I was 14. I used to buy them from the store cuz they weren't strict and I worked at 7-11. My friend scott said that chicks digged it so I gave it a shot. Had I known what I know today that it don't matter if you smoke or not chicks will still bang you if your hot I wouldn't have bothered. My first smoke was a marlboro light.

I was either 12 or 13, and still can't quit all the way. I am down to I think 3 a day, but I can't seem to drop the rest because I work in a bar and I'm always around smokers, I still won't smoke in the house, or at a friends house if they don't smoke, which is weird because I still won't smoke in their house if someone they live with smokes in there anyhow, it's weird. I've tried to quit more times than I can count anymore, I remember being sooo pissed that they were bumped up to the super high price of $2.35, damn I wish I couls still get them for that in this state :blink

  • 2 months later...

I tried my first cigarette when I was 14. I started smoking until I was around the age of 16. It's probably one of the hardest things for me to curb since I don't have the wilpower and the desire to quit right now. Who hates having flem/mucos every morning? It's gross...

my parents were both smokers, so i tried my first cigarette when i was about 5 - i asked my dad to try it cuz i saw him doing it all the time - i tried, i coughed, i cried, i ran to my room... most likely, that's the entire reason i never took up cigarettes, although i do recreationally smoke occasionally... :fear

I started when I was 20. First it was one now and then when I drank but due to stress at my uncle's funeral, I started smoking then fulltime. Quit for about 6 weeks then a relationship breakup and I was smoking again. tried quitting a few times but I become such a bear, friends offer me cigs to calm me down. Guess they figure that's better than watching me go thru a tirade. They figure smoking is better than the heart attack I get close to when I try quitting. I am definitely not pleasant to be around when I am out of smokes.

When I was 6 I was forced to hit off a cigarette when me and my sister suffered abuse from bad baby-sitters, I thought I was going to die that day.

I started when I was 11 and from there I got addicted, smoking ever since and wish I didnt start as well.

My mom is kinda wierd ok? Ok. Now that that is out of the way......she said she never cared if I started, her mom used to have her light her cigarrettes for her when she was busy.....thats how my mom started. At like fucking 9 yrs old.

Fast forward about oh say 50 yrs.

Grandma is dying in the hospital coughing up blood after leaving her home complete with oxygen tank, to die.

Mom is quitting to save her own life, and has gained 50lbs doing so.

I never liked cigarrettes or could tollerate tobacco.....but love pot and have smoked it off and on since age 13. I did quit for 12 years when my kids were young, I think those first 12 years are the most important.

My kids don't smoke anything now.

Just don't understand people who encourage their kids to smoke.

My mom always said I could 'borrow' one if I wanted.....that she didn't like the pot smoke but I could smoke cigarrettes all I wanted in her home from age 12 up.

I think its wrong, but back then allot of people were like this. Our neighbor was the same way.....let her kid smoke at home and even paid for them sometimes.

Just glad we are smarter about this now.

Have you noticed in the old black and white movies how in almost every scene someone lights up? OH, or poors a drink.
