what if everyone wants to pick the book.

what my friends did was thaey all picked a book a total of six and each month they picked one from a list in order i'm not sure how they selected the order.

meet once a month to discuss the book. really it was just a girls night together type of thing. they would talk about boys and other girls behind there back. it was a good posative thing for them. I'm not sure who actually read what but they probably would be interested in this. so i'll pass the word to revive there club and make an offer for you all to join it even start a healthy debate over the name to be discussed at the meeting.

it would be cool if locations were picked with the book and attached to it on the list so your book that month you host the meeting in a location you decide

maybee a pickknick at a cemetary or at a bar or depending on the book and how its reflected in you rmind whatever the location to suit the book you picked.

i'm just a conduit i bring people together naturaly and i will not impose on a girls night out meeting and will not try to force my way into it but i will conspire to bring this together your club has the captians endorsmeant and it will come to be i think

in a lose sense. keep in mind all i'm doing is bringing folks together.

i would like to sugest a book myself and i have the perfect location at a large party once a month but then i would have to read a bunch of other books and i alone will not be enough to make this happen.

so i can mannage a book club given enough support and with the staff of dgn (TINA) having the book clubs back i should barley be needed.

i think it's mainly for the girls do get together but if you want to participate raise your hand.

so should i try to do this for all you all? i only need a small amount of initial support. if you think i'm not suited for the task then do it your self. but i'm going to put this in motion get with me for ideas once it's together i'll be satisfied to be voted out. appoint me as manager i'll handle the info and try to put together meeting. i think it will work better in small cells like terrorism, groups of six or eight. i'll do this i volenteer infact i'll start at home on my end and put things in motion over here without any dgn involvmeant then bring you in to this smoothly.

:sleeping i'm going to put some calls in right now start talking about who you want and what books your thinking about making folks read to share locations to match your book thats my idea and would be loosley adheard to so is hosting the meeting when it's your book up

does anybody work at a book store or a library were we can find multiple coppies of the same book and quite possably get discounts for bulk purchases?

post some links if you have good ideas about that i'll need help finding the right people to do business with. maybee a location that would give a discount in there order because we held the meeting there and bought there coffee every month?

something like the bean in plymouth. I would have no problem going suit and tie to talk to owners and pitch ideas. i got the ill connect. infact i would love to do that.

but i can't do that without some commitmeant from dgn i'm not pitching ideas without the support of some of you

you could actually give me a location and send me at them and i'll handle talking to them i'll get to the right people i used to do that for a living.

i good pitch for me is the aspect of the gothic appearence at the meetings but we need a few people to come together for that. keep in mind i won't really attend the meeting with much social interist

once a few commit to this then thay can post a location and ask me to look into it and i will.

A book club would be cool if the monthly selections were voted on AND if those who could not make it in person were still encouraged to discuss the book online.

right now I live in RI and have traveled back and forth to MI over the past year or so. If the opportunity arose for me to meet in person I would gladly do so. I've wanted to join a book club and I have met and like people from DGN.

Like I said, I just think a book selection vote and online participation will lend to the experience.

Oh, also Alibris.com is one good place to order used online and I've never had a complaint to date with my orders.

I read too much as it is.... so no.. i wont join. Besides, nobody here would want my book input any way... seriously now, are any of you actually interested in the Hmong or maybe the Montagnards?
