I had Chlamydia about 4 years ago, another result of the cheating X bitch from hell and I's "loving" relationship. Guys, you don't even wanna know where they put the q-tip at *shudder*. It hurt so bad I was standing up holding on to the beds they bolt to the floor and I bent the bolts pulling up on it. But thank god, diety, etc (lol) that 5 little pills clears it all up.

*hint guys* If you got a feeling in your gut your woman is unfaithfull.....it's probly true.

I get cold sores on my lips....another form of Herpes...and I also get them in my nose.

I always have since I was little.

I also get staph infections.....I is transmittable...but strangley not called an STD

BV is sometimes caused or made worse by unprotected sexual contact that can disrupt the balance of normal bacteria that protect the vagina. Certain body fluids, especially semen, may be more disruptive for some women.

What else could it be? I am big on hygene and YES I change my under clothes daily if not twice daily.....I even do the bird bath daily...slits, tits and armpits...if I don't shower

You know....I don't know if this is true, but I hear the Mother can pass it to child during childbirth.... My mother has this problem as well.

Not to make an example of kellygrrrrrl, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that this is transmittable mouth to genital. It is literally and specifically what I have.

New discussions in the last few days have made it even more clear to me that this is possibly how I contracted it, from a person who knew they had it orally.

I say this not to breing down anyone with Oral Herpes, but to make the connection and awareness of not just "similarity" but that they are one and the same.

You can have type 1 on mouth or genitals, you can have type 2 on mouth or genitals and it passes from one to the other without prejudice.

This is quite an interesting comment considering OUR history.

You can't tell if someone has an STD by the way he or she looks or acts. The only way to know whether you have an STD, including HIV, is to get tested. Appearances can be deceiving. After all, you're not just having sex with that person but with everyone they've ever had sex with . . . and everyone THEY'VE ever had sex with . . . and . . . well, you get the point. Because lots of STDs have no symptoms (or only subtle ones), your partner may not even know he or she has one. MTV.com - It's your (sex) life.

Yes, thinking that being choosy about partners is going to protect from STDs is the real reason why so many are getting spread around.

Unless you are both virgins and only have sex with each other for the rest of your lives or unless you never have sex at all, anyone at all can be at risk. It only takes one exposure, one time.

I didn't know that someone could have herpes for YEARS and show no symptoms. I also didn't know that a common cold sore could be spread to the genital area.

I'm really learning a lot about STDs I never knew. I thought herpes was visible and couldn't be spread unless there were visible lesions. I also thought that a condom would protect almost 100%.

If everyone who had an STD would get treatment (especially herpes because the medications make it less likely to spread) right away and if everyone were brave enough to discuss these issues, we would have much less problems with any of these.

When people say they don’t have anything because they’ve been “careful” but they are not talking to their partners about STDs/STIs, not getting tested and not insisting that their partners be tested, then what they really mean is “lucky”
