Kevin Saunderson is having all sorts of issues with the city. There is a strong chance it will not be happening this year. Kevin Saunderson is still DJing the First Sunday of every Month at Necto to continue to raise funds but it is not looking good.

I read an article that Kevin Saunderson is not even part of the commitee this year. Ill see if I cant dig that up again.

If it DOES still go on, it will be like last year. Lower attendance etc due to little time to promote bringing in those out of towners, as well as a fee to get in (whihc I think is a great idea still)

Even with the ticket price last year they lost ALOT of money and there are still alot of peopel that havent been paid for their services.

I truely hope this goes on again this year. I have been going every year (though not open till close like the first four but still hehe). I love the DEMF no matter what they call it

I never attended DEMF and I was hopeful to attend this year. I heard from 2 customers today that it's happening Memorial Day Weekend this year, just like last year, but that was it.

Apparently, same place....... but any other details? Nein.

I cannot tell you for sure, but I have been told that the City of Detroit is in negotiation right now and are only considering companies that can pay for the festival expenses out right. Which I believe is a wise decision. This festival needs financial stability. Unfortunately with our greatest efforts, we could not achieve what was necessary to continue to produce the festival in 2006."

Yah I heard this too. Sad. Oh well. Guess I will go to the one in Toronto......and get a room and just stay a few days. Hear its better anyway......but this really makes me just so sad for Detroit. It really does.

Cover is $5 1st sunday of every month. All funds go towards DEMF. Which is prob not happening so I guess all funds to KS.

WEMF is a FREAKIN BLAST! I went to three of them and they are great. Ill do some digging and see if I cant get the ful line-up and dates/venue for WEMF this year. I used to flyer here in detroit for them and I know the same people are still working with it so ill drop some emails.

be ready for a dirty ass camping trip though. all three years our "shower" was wet naps and bottled water + shampoo.

I will say this though. it is NOTHING like DEMF. DEMF is in a realm of its own and will always be the best time

first DEMF first night... last set... main stage.. Stacey Pullen... BEST SET I HAVE EVER HEARD. Got a recording of it on my pc that I listen to often.

Hell I know how to rough it brother. Been a boy scout and a US Naval Sea Cadet, I got plenty of experiance on the ground. But anyinfo would be greatly appreciated. I have a few bikers would definetly ride there with me.
