GM's credit is shot too :(

Recommended Posts

I really hate to see this. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business altogether, though I really hope not. I love GM cars, the way they ride, the way they look. I just don't want to see them go under. It's scary to see our industries that were once so strong in such trouble.

Does GM have cash to fund comeback?

Automaker, facing liquidity concerns, in talks to sell Isuzu stake.

Brett Clanton / The Detroit News

As concerns mounted among investors and credit agencies about General Motors Corp.'s ability to fund its operations over the long term, the U.S. automaker said it is in talks to sell its stake in Japanese vehicle manufacturer Isuzu Motors Ltd.

On Wednesday, Moody's Investors Services cut GM's debt rating after the automaker disclosed late Tuesday that it may be blocked from accessing a $5.6 billion line of credit and could have to pay back another $3 billion in lease obligations sooner than expected.

Standard & Poor's warned it may cut the automaker's rating further into "junk" territory -- moves that could make it more difficult for GM to borrow money.

i wondered why they changed the vaxhaul frontera from that awful POS it was to a renosed isuzu trooper.

but tbh. as good as troopers are (up there with merc Gwagens and land rover defenders imo) isuzu dont sell anything else in the UK, and most troopers i have seen of late are jap import ones, not UK spec.

never seen any other sort of izusu on the road. not good marketing
