Another idea from GM.... gone wrong

Chevy's 'Make Your Own Tahoe Commercial' idea not exactly going as planned

As part of a creative new ad campaign for the new Tahoe, General Motors has teamed up with Donald Trump's 'The Apprentice' franchise to create a website that allows prospectives to make their own commercials online. The website allows readers to select backgrounds, video shots, and input text in an attempt to win prizes ranging from a Jackson Hole Getaway to a trip to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

Rather predictably, however, certain surfers have been using the spot-building website for purposes that don’t exactly put Chevrolet’s newest in the best light. Unfortunately, GM's webmeisters appear to be asleep at the wheel, as we can't imagine these derogatory ads staying up on purpose.

the other month a ford KA went into my Peugeot 306. and if the occupants of the KA had been going any quicker my 306 would have been sitting on thier laps. if they hit my friends Land Rover Defender 110 they'd probably be dead.

he has use for the defender as he lives up a mountain i cannot get mty car to, not enough ground clearance on 155/80's with slightly raised suspension (raised to cope with some roads here).

i have no use and i hate seeing yet another spotlessly clean land-dreadnaught driven badly by some idiot to small to barely see over the steering wheel let alone the road ahead.

but what totaly pissed me off the other day was some **** in a Ford Maveric on the very narow farm track i sometimes use to get to my town in times of roadworks (one road in/out otherwise) coming to opposite way, i had just turned a tight corner, range about 100 yards. in my 106.

i stop. he stops, i wait, he waits. and waits. i decide to reverse round this corner (if anything came up behind i'm, screwed. and i find a moderate grass bank, maveric rolls past on the concrete road (old old road), spotlessly clean (on a farm track!), and looks down his nose dismisively at my little peugeot 106, and i get stuck on mud.

after i get myself unstuck (reverse forward, reverse forward etc.) i procede.

literally 2 maveric lengths behind where he stopped was a layby. a dual layby, but its compacted dry earth. diddums didnt want his crap SUV dirty
