Nerdcore
www.myspace.com/frosenplasma ( hypocrite is the big single right now) bio on the guys FROZEN PLASMA After the split of his very successful band "NamNamBulu" Vasi Vallis presents his follow-up project "Frozen Plasma" with a fantastic new singer, Felix Marc! (Producer/Keyboarder/Backing Vocals at Diorama). The Debut Single "Hypocrite" is released since November 24th 2005. (Infacted Recordings) Biography (FELIX MARC) Felix has started to create music in 1994. The initial pieces consisted exclusively of synthesizer -, drumcomputer and sampled sounds, which were steered via a software sequencer. Since 1994, there have been different stylistic changes and developments from Hard Trance, to House and Rave and later a symbiosis of Dream House and Trance. The developments in the creation of his music went hand in hand with a regular commitment as DJ. First limited to parties and school happenings, he soon became a resident DJ in a local clubs, which gave him the opportunity to present his own material in a broad public. In 2001, Felix joined efforts with his long-time friend Torben Wendt in his Dark Wave Group Diorama as producer, background singer and live keyboard player. This co-operation brought forward some amazing musical pieces and experiences. The latest release is called Re-Pale which is already the 5th album. During a support tour with Diorama for VNV Nation in April 2005, Felix connected to Vasi Vallis who was playing live keyboards for VNV. In the aftermath, they decided to start a collaboration with Felix being the lead singer. Biography (VASI VALLIS) Vasis first project appeared 1986. His minimal techno/acid project Galatea became a well known name in the Swiss underground scene. After several Acid productions for Galatea and some co-productions for popular swiss, italian and german underground DJ's his style changed more into the early minimal techno, when techno was underground and not commercial music. Vasi became an inhouse producer for several techno labels and worked as a talent scout for Sony Music Switzerland. In 1994 he produced his first pop/eurodance project Provocation which had a top 10 hit in Switzerland and top 50 in the Spanish and Italian club/dance charts. 1997 he produced some album tracks as a ghost producer for several major labels. (e.g. Ashaya S.I.O.N...) The more he worked with majors, the more he disliked the way they treated their bands and he missed the emotion and passion for music within this highly commerce-focused industry. The following years, he focused on the setup of a new studio, which should give him the possibility to work independently from labels or other producers. In 2001 he discovered bands like vnv nation, apoptygma, neuroticfish or assemblage 23 which combined techno/trance elements with melancholic chords and vocals. He decided to start his own project and found a singer (Henrik Iversen) who's voice fitted perfectly to his new sound: the band was called NamNamBulu and was founded summer 2002. In March 2003 he signed a deal with Infacted Recordings a new label founded by Torben Schmidt. Torben had the ideas, visions and the passion for music Vasi was looking for. The first longplayer Distances became a huge success in the scene and NNB played about 40 gigs all over the world had chart entries with memories expansion and alone in several alternative charts. Vasi produced more than 25 remixes for bands like Suicide Commando, S.I.T.D, Lights of Euphoria or Absurd Minds. In April 2005, he joined VNV Nation as live keyboarder and played the Matter and Form Tour as well as the Mera Luna Festival in Germany. In June 2005, Henrik left NamNamBulu because of personal issues with Vasi. Just 2 months later, Vasi released his industrial Project Reaper which was in the German Alternative Top Ten for 6 weeks and reached number 1 at the Dutch Alternative Charts . The CD called Angst E.P was planned as a side-project beside NNB but became more important because of the split. An Album is planed for May 2006 as well as some live appereances. November 2005, Vasi presents his NNB-follow-up project Frozen Plasma with a new phantastic singer, Felix Marc (producer, background singer and live keyboard player for Diorama). Vasi met Felix during the VNV Tour when Diorama was support band. An Album called Artificial is scheduled for April 2006. they have thre first full cd out soon .. nilaihah records justed signed them to the USA so a usa date will be soon ! check back for more details ! Pulse State
Frozen Plasma is the SHIT! I love Felix Marc's voice, and who better to be your programmer than Vasi Vallis... everything that man touches turns to gold, for sure! Can't wait for the full-length. Check out Vasi's other project, Reaper, if you want to hear him do the hard-EBM-techno thing. There aren't any vocals on it, but it does remind me a bit of Combichrist in their more technoid moments. Pulse State
The album is out and has been for one month. Artificial is so good! I assumed that it was just going to sound like a crossing of Diorama and Namnambulu, but it actually carries some De/Vision or Wolfsheim undertones with it as well. Definitely recommended for a fan of any of the aforementioned bands! It's on Nilaihah Records in North America.
Blackmail
This is the type of music I like most lately but I couldn't get into them based on the 4 songs on their myspace profile. To each their own. What about breakbeat synthpop from Hamburg? www.myspace.com/sonomusic or how about local futurepop? www.myspace.com/pulsestate :grin :laughing www.myspace.com/disconnectthephone :grin :devil
