None taken. The issues that I am refering to is that I only really feel very basic emotions, happy, sad, love. Compassion is not one of them. It makes it very hard for me to connect with people. I come off sounding rude or mean because it's hard for me to take in what other people are feeling being that I don't experiance those feelings myself.

Consider... For me to have any emotional reaction to someone dying, they have to be extremely close to me. Like immeadiate family or very close personal friends, of which I have very few.

this makes sense.

still......(to me)...sort of sad, but I can relate to it believe it or not, at least I could in younger years. And I wasent knockin you Odims....just observing.

"Basic" emotions......hmmmm....isint that all we all feel?

for example compassion is rooted in love for your fellow man. Love is love....its either given away or horded.....

and of course there are things you cannot relate to .... that is the beauty of community and why its important.....we teach each other, if we allow ourselves to value that opportunity.

Didint you and Miss Quakenbush just get back in country recently?

I'm supposing (my tour was in peacetime) that your still de-compressing as well.....

i feel compassion for a lot of people/ things, but that can change over time. sometimes, i don't have any compassion for certain people/things. other times, i'm netural about people/things.

I have deep compassion for people but I have to consider the facts first. I am speaking more of people I know who call me for advice and keep doing the same bahaviors, then it just gets to be ridiculous. That doesn't mean I won't listen but we both pretty much know nothing is going to change in their behaviors. Aside from that I am extremely compassionate/empathetic.
