Thank goodness Jon has a company vehicle, with company-paid gas.

We've cut our driving in our own vehicle down so much, I only have to fill the tank once every three weeks or so.

Otherwise, we would be completely and totally screwed.

What is really dicking us over, however, is heating. We have a tiny loft apartment, basically one big undivided living room/kitchen on the 1st floor, and an open stairwell to a large bedroom upstairs. I keep the temp to about 60 degrees at night and most of the day, and no higher than 70 in the evening for a while. Gas stove that doesn't get run a ton, and gas water heater we keep decently hot.

Our monthly gas bill has been around $150. That's 50-100% more than I budgeted for, and causing our budget squeeze.

Come on, Summer...
