I hear ya Steven.  The thing is that, and I guess this reply will better clarify my thoughts on this;  If I were to hook up with Cat, at this point in time, there are factors like geographical distance and getting free time to see her. Those are 2 things that I have to contend with.

I have a good paying job over here in CT. I've been at it for 5.5 years now. I also get full company sponsored health insurance with this job. So, in a sense, its my golden ticket in my life right now.

But, like you said; let nothing stop me...

This is where I am at this point right now.

Like I said, if there could be a way to make it work, then  OOO RAH!  I'm up 4 it.

So now its time for Cat to chime in whenever she reads all this

I'm doing the best I can to be his friend right now. I really feel good about just being pals while he goes through a real rough time in his life but ...being a friend makes me a trusted person in his life to be able to console and even give him a place to go and shake off the blues.

It's ok but he knows I cant JUST be friends forever and he also knows I won't be able to handle if he dates someone else while we're friends so I'm not sure if I'm such a goos friend or not?

I just love being able to visit and talk to him. It relaxes me and makes me feel like I still matter. Friends can be the best things that ever happened in your life so who knows?

I just feel like this is WHEN HARRY MET SALLY honstly and he's tryign to assure me that he loves me and i can be his buddy until he has the time and the room in his very confused time fo life to devote to a person he cares for.

He doesn't know how much I have changed but he will. He's no dummy & he'll see it!

I was reading somewhere (it could have been something that Steven had said) that you never really stop loving someone. You just move on to someone new. I think that could possibly make some sense. If you loved someone, and they moved on, you could pine away forever and be very unhappy. If you allow yourself to continue to love and be loved, that's a different story. You could love someone new and move on. Saephyr, I think that you can do the latter. And, you could move on with a certain creature.

Now I'll just go back to my Life Cereal and soymilk, because I'm not sure if I'm making sense at this hour.....

well yeah....that was me that you quoted and I'm glad that you understand what I'm saying here. I just think that if somone was once in your life, regardless of how it ended - if you can do it in a healthy manner then just take them with you but keep moving forward. It has nothing to do with the new person. Incidently Laura is not the only woman I've loved, and vice versa, and even in between because early in our marriage we filed for divorce and seperated and did NOT love each other like we should have. Life is messy. People are messy, choices are messy. Somewhere in the midst of all that mess there is still always hope if you keep yourself open to growth.

Of course Laura is the #1 love of my life now, because we grew togethor - people always miss that shit - they want that power love right from jump and hey that's not reality - you need time and trials to meld into one. And humility. If you cant humble yourself then your not really ready.

So there's the lesson, there's hope for everyone, even though I admit that Brenda and Marblez (and how could Marblez dump you!!!? whatafukka??!!! she's such a smart beauty but this time she let me down) do hotly compete for spot #1-A.
