I would have prevented the deaths of 4 good friends.

Never gotten into heavy drugs

Made better decisions for the future

And life would have been so much better, not perfect but at least better. :cheerful

I was just talking to someone about this a few minutes ago and they were saying they wouldn't change a thing.

I would for sure, several things. I wouldn't have rushed into marriage, would have taken my time to get to know him better and I know that the marriage wouldn't have happened if I had taken my time. His true character would have come out. It would have saved me a lot of heartache.

It's easy to look back and see where we went wrong though, but that's all in the past. All we really have is today and I'm trying every day to make things a little better. It's slow going sometimes but I'm making progress little by little.

I really need to tell a few people in my life how much they have meant to me, especially some of the older ones who won't be around much longer.

Thats a good outlook Onyx. However I can also see where you friend would want to change nothing.

I'd have to agree with him/her. If I was to change things I wouldnt be the same person I am today. I cant not dwell on what could have been, I have to think of what would I "like" to happen, that way I can make choices today can mold my future into what I would "like" it to be.

Sometimes it helps, sometimes it changes things and other times it does neither and is a learning experience.

This is one thing I would have changed as well. I had planned on waiting an extra year before getting married, but he convinced me that there was no point in waiting that long to get married. We were engaged at the end of 2002 (we had been together a year and a half at that point), and I was thinking of having the wedding in the fall of 2004, but we got married in the fall of 2003. Looking back, if I would have waited the extra year, I would have never gotten married (for several reasons).

Another thing I would change is some the people that I allowed into my life and the things that I put up with from them. I went through too many bad situations that no one should have to deal with, but I did because I was weak (and other reasons).

I would have gone back to college....for something besides accounting or cosmetology as I don't like either now.

I would have like Crank, not done so much crank.

Don't know that I could have stopped any of my freinds from killing themselves but I would like to try also......

Probably would not have moved back here but now I am stuck, our buisness......grandkids......not sure how things would have turned out. I just miss Pheonix.

I'd try to prevent the Holocaust.

Aside from that, can't think of anything that's happened to me personally that I'd change. I'm the sum of my experiences to date, both good and bad. All in all, don't think I've came out too badly.

I wish I never bleached my locks AFTER I decided to grow it out

There are many things I have said I wish I could take back.

But words can never be taken back, not are they ever forgotton.

I can only make up for things I have said.

I'd go back just long enough to play winning lottery numbers!

Nah, I wouldn't change anything, because I wouldn't have grown as a person as much as I have. The people I helped along the way may not have been helped and that wouldn't be cool. Sometimes you have to get to a certain point to understand the message, even if it's a hard road.

Ditto. I would say I'd redo high school, but if I was back then who I am today, I wouldn't be on this board right now, and I wouldn't have met all of you wonderful people. =)

If I changed anything I wouldn't be who I am today...in other words, I'd change a lot.

You wouldn't have to change too much. Go back far enough and only change one or two things, and you'd completely change who you are today. Temporal mechanics. Go back in time and change one little thing and it snowballs in a completely different direction than the 'past' that you know.

When I was 11.. and my Mother left my Father... I was sitting in the car and Dad... Dad asked me to stay. I didn't realize what was going on... I only thought we were going away for the weekend... I would get out of that car.

fuck.. I'm going to cry now.
