First thought is one of my old sig's for the board -

Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard, be evil.

Some actual thoughts behind what you're asking:

*what power means to an individual

*the motivation they have to use the tools they have at their disposal

*how much work people are willing to put into pursuing their goals

*whether or not a person is willing to exercise power and how they choose to do so.

Another thought is what is the difference between wielding power and empowering yourself? Is it that wielding power implies you exerting force on others and to empower is to exert force internally (on yourself)?
