BrassFusion
Ok. I love my stupid dog Zamboni, and that's why I started taking her for long walks every few days for the past several months. For the past week, I've been getting over bronchitis, so I kinda eased up on the walkies. She's been really sore about it, always crying and getting crazy whenever it looks like I'm going to leave the house. Just now, she and our other dog Katie had to go outside, so I pur Katie on the trolley line (she'll run off if she gets the chance), and let Zamboni out in the yard. I went outside with them to keep an eye on her. She started trotting down the street in the direction we'd normally go on a walk. Naturally, I started trying to call her back in my "Master-is-not-fucking-around" voice. That dumbass dog thought we were going to the park. She strung me along almost a mile before I got her to come back and head home. Now I'm a little wheezy from jogging and the wheezy is turning into hacking gut coughs leftover from bronchitis. And I have that karaoke contest tonight. Damn that stupid dog.
Onyx
Sorry about the cough. I couldn't help but giggle a bit though at the dog insisting on having her walk.
Brenda Starrr
It's not the dog's fault. I hope you feel better.
BrassFusion
I kinda do already, and I didn't get po'd at the dog or anything. I just can't let her outside off the line anymore and that kinda bums me out. She was being so obedient for a while.
Steven
Pretty smart dog actually - knows how to push the envelope. do you have a treadmill? if yrou sick you can put yrou dog on the treadmill. but the bottom line is that your dog has too much pent up energy and is acting up. he wont burn it off in the yard - dogs are pack animals, he neeeds to go walking. BrassFusion
I doubt Zamboni would figure out a treadmill. I think she's in it for the exploration and stuff. She likes care rides too, of course. And I'm pretty much back to 100% now, so I'll probably take her out tonight.
Steven
you kind of have to force them to do it at first (treadmill)....
