phee
my first stories were Call of Cthuhlu, then The Music of Erich Zhan, and The Outsider. Just started reading more after that. I believe my first was "The Rats In the Walls"

Nightgaunt
Thanx...I've never read ANY...I started in on 'Lurker in the Threshold' but got too busy and lost the book... ...I needed a starting place... I most emphatically recommend the novella The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. Also, the short stories The Silver Key and Through the Gates of the Silver Key. "You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one..."

phee
But all these precautions came late in the day, so that Gilman had some terrible hints from the dreaded Necronomicon of Abdul Alhazred, the fragmentary Book of Eibon, and the suppressed Unaussprechlichen Kulten of von Junzt to correlate with his abstract formulae on the properties of space and the linkage of dimensions known and unknown. phee
Non-Euclidean calculus and quantum physics are enough to stretch any brain; and when one mixes them with folklore, (both quotes from "dreams of witch house")
