Emo is what is cool and what sells right now, tso hot toic is taking advantage of it...which is smart but sucks for goth people who used to love the store. They dont even use real leather anymore...its so annoying. I havent bought anything from there in a long time.

I've found some cute stuff there.

My girlfriends work tat one, so I can get things a little discounted at times.

I just dig the witty t-shirts, and t-shirts with things relevant to me. Cute cut t-shirts, which are hard to find....for me.

I like the shoes and boots too.

Ok, whatever. I like Hot Topic. I can usually find something I like. =)

I'm with Kelly. I love the T's and the limited variety of shoe's they carry. And the little trinkets, I love those.

If I want goth clothes, I'll make my own or hit up Noir or Incognito. =)

You have to be pretty picky about what you buy, but I shop there now and again. Sometimes I find good stuff.

Most of it is cheaply made, poor quality and overpriced, but sometimes I find cool things I can't find elsewhere.

i am mad that hot topic has only tiny tee-shirts. i can't wear any of them. they are way to tight on my chest. and i have seen some in there i really like.

as far as the other stuff, i would not say it is "emo" it is cute. my kids like it. so i take them there to shop sometimes. ;) it's like a twisted little toy store. but i always thought of it that way and don't really think it is any different now.

I buy stuff there occasionally. Usually the stuff I like is the expensive stuff. Yeah some stuff is overpriced and shitty quality. You just have to be careful what you buy and pay attention to the brands. In Flint its the only place to shop for that kind of stuff so alot of people have no choice but to shop there.

I work there. Been there almost 2 years.

On some occassions, I love it. Other times, I feel that it needs to go back to its older days where I was scared to walk inside because of all the dark stuff that it had on the walls. I miss the old days........ but on occassion, you find somethig cute.

But the EMO has GOT to go!!

It annoys me when people work there for trend only...I went in there looking at some bangles...and the guy didnt know what I was talking about...I had to refer to them as "bracelets"...I'm sorry...but bracelets are those stringy pieces of plastic, not two inches of generic leather with metal holes and spikes on them...

I have a couple things from Hot Topic, but usually when I go in there everything just looks so generic-mass-produced-four-other-people-in-the-club-are-wearing-the-same-pants-boring, that I walk out after a couple minutes. I like my clothes to be more unique.

On the other hand, my famous "french maid" outfit is from Hot Topic, and I've never run into anyone wearing the same outfit.

Man, Hot topic has some OK things, but are very overpriced especially 20 bucks for a litle baby doll tee. that doesnt even fit my boobs. a shame that is, Im stuck with scizzors and the thrift store, whats even worse is, I was 8 months pregnant, so im all fat and crap, trying to loose all my weight again, and any store I go into has a tiny crap:( =(

The last time I shopped there was when I asked a guy. "Hey were is your fishnet for males." And he didnt know what I was talking about.....I asked another girl and they said they didnt sell fishnet anymore. I was pissed and left.

I have the opposite problem. All the guy's clothing at HT is huge and I can't find anything to fit me. Heck, even at Noir I have that problem. I wanted a vinyl kilt and the smallest they had was a 32. They had to order me a 30 and that was back in March and I still haven't heard back from them even though I've called twice and e-mailed once. According to the Lip Service website, the item is discontinued and they don't even have what I want in stock. I should've just ordered it from Lip Service's website back in March like I wanted to and I would've had it by April 8th when I wanted it, but nooooo, I decided to support local business instead. (A little pissed.)

The same damn thing happened to me. I think I'll just start ordering everything from online now. What sites do people reccomend for guy's clothing? I've found stuff at Fetish Factory that I like. Any other sites?

Hot Topic was alright when I was about 13, and then sold out shortly thereafter. They used to sell good original quality stuff, fishnets and good make up and even though the prices have always been a little high, it was one of the only places you could go around here other than incognito and noir leather that would sell stuff I'd wear. Obviously this isn't the case anymore, as it's been taken over by the whole "oh I'm going to stab myself because my girlfriend dumped me at recess when I was five and life isn't worth living" kids also known as EMO-tards, or so I call them. Personally, and this will seem harsh since brutal is my middle name, but I hate and loathe and despise all EMO kids. If you're going to sit around and mope all day because either daddy didn't buy you a Mustang, you have to get your own job because your parents are sick of you spanging off them, or because the preppiest cheerleader in the school turned you down for prom, and say that life isn't worth living because of that, uhmmm welll kill yourself maybe because you're fucking stupid? I mean sure, there's kids in third world countries starving to death, civilians and soldiers in the Middle East being blown to bits hourly, and AIDS is still on the loose, but those poor poor emo kids have such horrible existances *end sarcasm*. Maybe if we got ALL of those 14 year old emo kids to off themselves at the same time, then we could take back Hot Topic and they'd stop stocking stupid shit like a heart with a gun going through it on the girly-tees or purses with Tinkerbell crying on them surrounded by sugary pink hearts and all of the other totally unimaginative and unoriginal stuff they sell there. We'd also be rid of anti-music Backstreet Boys emo-boy-bands (take Justin Timberlake, add eyeliner and "angst" and voila!) like Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights. The music itself makes me hurt so bad I can't walk in one of those stores without pulling my hair out in agony after five minutes. Just a suggestion. :innocent
