Little too soon for me to spend too much brainpower on it, other than in really general terms. Whoever is going too actually fund science/technology (our key way to a stronger long term economy) and restrict the totally unrestricted derivatives market (the banks are larger, and at more risk of a repeat of 2008 now than they were then, shockingly.)

yeah, I'll probably post just enough to keep this barely ticking until the primaries start; I certainly won't be putting stuff up every day. mostly funny stuff...although this unmasking of the Tea Party people by the NY Times is not really funny.

Unfortunately, though I vowed in 2008 that I would vote for an independent candidate finally in 2012, I will probably give my vote to whomever I feel is the least threatening to civil liberties AND actually has a chance in hell of winning.

Sigh.

Same boat.

:X

Considering they don't realize that the Chinese education is a lot more hard science than we currently have (and state sponsored, if memory serves.) The culture values education, knowledge, and work ethic are the key reasons for their success. Eliminating education funding would be a step away from what they have (though having funding only for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in education would be better use of funding.)

They really need to research the why of success instead of aping what is currently seen.

I long for the days when there were candidates I agreed with or disagreed with.... instead of ones I tolerate and ones that are totally batshit crazy.

how old are you to have actually agreed with a candidate?

I'm not old enough for for Regan but I clearly Understood that both Clinton and Bush where idiots brilliant idiots.

As I study backwards I find that there hasn't been a republican or democrat candidate during my life time. That is after putting aside the anti Republican/Democrat attitude I have developed over the last decade.

But yeah every clean election (no running incumbent) both of the pieces of shit stink worse than the last two.

Once in a wile they offer something during an incumbent election that isn't as bad as as the that parties supposed pick for the clean run but it still stinks worse than anything prior.

Look at how the media treats RP.

If he comes in second place in a pole then they only report 1st 3rd and 4th places. They never have a thing to say about him unless it is negative and that's on FOX and MSNBC.

I'm willing to bet that if average America voted for anything but a Republican or Democrat, we would still end up with one or the other, even if a third party had 75% of the popular vote and if we made a fuss about it then a state of national emergency will be declared and who ever is in office becomes dictator.

Until we eliminate the electoral collage, it is all pointless.

Rick Santorum's mad at Google for what happens when you do a search on his last name:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/09/21/tech/web/santorum-google-ranking/index.html

That isn't googles fault. That site has had 9 years to climb the google ranks spreading their hatred of Santorum.
